The Little Old Hotel

Carpet needed vacuuming, water in sink came out in a slow dribble, sheets and towel worn, light levels overly dim, smallest room in any Hampton Inn I’ve ever stayed in. They even charged $10 for self parking on the property—something I’ve never experienced before. I’ve always been very comfortable with this chain, but this property felt like a cheap motel. Definitely would not recommend!

I give this property a 3.5. I would stay again. I think the customer service was great despite the mishap with my room. I was supposed to have an adjoining room with a friend, it got messed up. However the staff did what they could to make it right. I’m a hard rate with cleanliness because I always think a hotel could be cleaner. The breakfast was just okay. I try to find hotels with complimentary breakfast when traveling with children because it’s fun for them. I wouldn’t say anything is wrong with the hotel. Just things that could be better. I slept great, enjoyed the hot tub, and staff was excellent. I would absolutely stay again.

Celebrating our 34th wedding anniversary. First night local Channels on TV were out. Didn’t matter at that time. Out most of the day on Saturday but after site seeing wanted to come back to room and relax to watch college football. The entire hotel had no television. The poor staff did not know what to do. There is t enough parking either. When we checked out, I was told I could get points to make up for the problem however points never seem to be the way to make up for a disappointment. The Hampton name has taken a dive for nice places to stay. The place needs to be cleaned up better and the pool didn’t even have water in it. The hotel wasn’t outrageously dirty but it wasn’t near and tidy either.

The TV would not turn on so they offered me a different room. The problem is that the AC in the other room was not on and it was dew and smelly. We decided to stay in the original room without a working TV.
