Not the condo we reserved/management company sucked.
Our stay was good, we had good weather and enjoyed our time. Except for one major incident that affected us deeply. We spent a lot of time scouring through all the condos at Pelican Inlet. We needed a specific number of beds for all of our guests. This included an elderly woman and her caretaker. So we needed a bedroom with two beds. Not many of these condos have a total of 4 beds. We really needed 4 beds. The elderly caretaker slept on an air mattress the entire time. This was quite uncomfortable and a difficult situation because the Property Management Company "Vacation Rental Beach Properties" decided to change the condo we reserved. They did not call and ask us if this was acceptable, well, they said they called 5 times but couldn't leave a message. We all know our cell phones pick up every single call coming through, even some we dial by mistake. And there were no incoming calls OR messages. my voice mail works well... An email asking us if we could move or alerting us that they were moving us would have been nice. They did send an email with one number changed. The number of the condo we had reserved to the condo they moved us to without permission. I did not notice this slight change. When I called to find out what had happened, they were quite difficult to deal with. No apology, no taking responsibility for the change or why.. no information except they would move us to another condo, on the third floor somewhere else. The elderly folks with us could not climb stairs, that is why we specifically wanted this particular condo. All in all, Vacation Beach Rental Property management and employees were pretty crappy to deal with. They just kept insisting that they were right. No listening to or trying to understand, with empathy, the situation we were forced to deal with. It is not the fault of Pelican Inlet. The condo was beautiful, clean and nice. The pictures of the condo are wrong. There is NO king bed and the bathrooms are reversed. The nice bathroom is NOT the master bath. So, it was a little squirrelly for sure. We made it through, and enjoyed the beach..
