Somewhat decent hotel

Posted Apr 6, 2017
Pros: How close it was to the historic district, shopping, dining and the beach.
Cons: The comfort of the beds. They're too firm, cause body aches and difficulty sleeping.
Location: Castillo de San Marcos National Monument, St. Augustine historic district, San Sebastian Winery, St. Augustine Beach
Good points: Quiet. Clean. 10 minute walk to the beach. Close to good seafood restaurants, two supermarkets and the St. Augustine historic district. Friendly staff. Pet friendly hotel. Bad points: Bed too firm, difficult to fall asleep on. No extractor in the bathroom to suck up all of the heat and humidity of the shower. Hot breakfast was basic, and too few tables. Room appeared to be missing furniture. There was only a desk and one chair in the room, no table to eat on (this was in the king bed room).

Across street from nature area and public beach

Posted Mar 29, 2017
Pros: Pet friendly, quiet area, close to beach
Cons: Breakfast time (extend time later so there's room for all) and offer bagels and cream cheese
Location: On Anastasia Island, close to a Publix, Starbucks, restaurants and very near beach access. Easy drive to historic core and Flagler College
Staff friendly and helpful, breakfast is basic but can fill you up. Offering bagels and cream cheese would be a wonderful addition, not just toast and cinnamon rolls. Not enough space to hold all guests for breakfast time though, and it cuts off at 9am, where a lot of other hotels go until 9:30 or 10am. Additional time would allow for less crowd scrambling for breakfast and a space to eat and less stress for the staff taking care of stocking breakfast. Other than that, its a quiet area, the Old Town Trolley tour bus picks you up (when you buy passes) and brings you in to the historic core and all around old St.Augustine. We were there for Bike Week 2017 and parking can be limited if you have a trailer. Bike trailers can fit ok, but Google map it with satellite to check out parking lot before you book. The walkway to beach and beach itself is amazing. Not crowded, clean and expansive. Very dog friendly area, as hotel is as well.

Convenient but dirty

Posted Mar 15, 2017
Arrived late at night to a filthy, ground floor room. Was moved to another room equally filthy. Hairs around sink, dirty table, dirty floor, hair on toilet, rusty and corroded drain and faucet.

Quiet area, pleasant boardwalk through city park to beach. Close to shopping center with groceries and numerous other retail needs. Many restaurants within walking biking distance.

Your average hotel walking distance to the beach.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for two nights. Loves it that it was a pet friendly hotel because we took our little Lhasa with us. Room had a microwave, mmini refrigerator. We didn't need much because we were barely there. Staff was very friendly and breakfast was great. 20 min drive from old town.

Affordable b&b directly across from the beach.

Posted Jan 4, 2017
Pros: Free breakfast, beach access, pillows
Cons: Room air fresheners, staircase in middle of hotel on both sides.
Location: Located directly across from the beach and within a short drive to downtown historic st. Augustine.
Overall, we were pleased with the room, however, it did have a moldy/musty smell like it had been closed up for awhile and the stair access was not convenient for a room on the top floor in the middle of the building.
