Ameristar is always 1st class. We had a good time. Wish more of the restaurants were open at the hotel, but there are many nearby.

We stayed 2 nights. Everything was beautiful but we did not know the hot tub was closed, the spa and nice restaurants were closed on Tuesday and Wednesday which was when we were there, and the casino was closed for 12 hours for upgrades. We had to leave and go out for dining and entertainment. Most of the nicer restaurants and shops on the historic Main Street were also closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. We visited the spa on Thursday. Nice and clean but overpriced compared to comparable quality spas. I had tried to call the front desk ahead of reservations to confirm amenities but hung up after waiting for 35 mins. Phone in room did not work

I love the polite and professionalism of the staff. I had problems with my booking at the beginning, due to Travelocity site being down. The help desk was able to help fix everything. We stayed the whole weekend and had a blast. We will be back when the pool opens up

This was overall a horrible stay. It started off we had to wait an hour and 45 minutes to check in because the rooms were not ready yet. I asked if we could have late check out and was told they could NOT accommodate that due to the number of check ins the next day. When we got to the room we later discovered that the main door did not shut all the way leaving the door open not safe at all. All of the tv channels did not work and the toilet paper holder fell apart . My mom was laying down and discovered there was blood stains on her sheets. We called a manager who came up and gave us sheets and called maintenance to fix the door. The manager said that they would take something off our bill , later to find out that was a lie. We went to dinner at Bugattis which is a steak house on the same property and ended up having to send back all three steaks as they were to tough to eat we couldn’t bare it. Fast forward to check out. I was told I still owed for service fee. I asked if there had been a discount applied and was told no because I booked through a third party and the hotel could not make any adjustments. I was given a voucher for thier restaurants that is good for 30 days AS I WAS LEAVING. never again I can not believe what all went on. I’ve stayed at better motels.

I always enjoy my stay. Only two things, First, no safe in the premium suites which is the newly remodeled rooms. Second, my dining experience at Amerisports was poor. The meat used for the burgers is not the best. Would never order a burger again from there. But, I would never eat there again after the male waiter serving me rushed me during my entire dining experience and at the end never asked if I saved room for dessert or wanted any dessert. Just ended up bringing me the check.

Our room was very nice and clean. We did have to request clean towels everyday. No Maid service while we were there. Very low water pressure in the shower.

Staff not very friendly. Stayed 2 nights & they don’t offer housekeeping. Couch in living room area of suite was filthy. Stained & needed to be vacuumed/cleaned. Casino barely has any table games open & the smoking in every area of casino is unbearable. Not a great experience.

Front desk is wonderful. Housekeeping are nice but the rooms can use a good cleaning. I moved the chair looking for something that i dropped and the dust and old chips were shocking so I started cleaning. The toilet seat had poop on the rim , so I sanitized which I always do every hotel even 5 star. The suite could use an upgrade, curtains are old and dusty, carpet is a bit worn. Its a nice hotel just declining. My 38 yr old son never was able to go inside the casino because he didnt have his drivers license due to leaving it at First Watch but he had his social and a front & back copy of his license in his email that he previously sent to his job. The security lady said he looks under 30 other than that she would let him in yet you can enter if you're 21 or older and she lets folks in without ID if they look over 30 to her. My son has mustache broad shoulders and looks every bit of a man. He does look young but not under 21. We asked to speak to a manager but was a waste of time especially after the security lady sarcastically said, "I'm having ID issues again."The manager was a heavy set guy said, "I say all the time, asian Hispanics & black dont crack you look very young. I need youre licenses." Our Trip was ruined and it was to late to checkout and get a refund. Hotel staff told us to talk to someone in the security dept to file a complaint. Spoke to a blk guy who said "You're never gonna get in shes a stickler. I wont be working here long im leaving.

Really Enjoyed our stay!
We always enjoy staying at The Ameristar Casino for a few nights. Rooms are big and spacious with great views. The hotel should put a microwave station where the ice machines are. You have to pay for the microwave separately.

Last time staying at Ameristar. We have had problems at this property before, so we had not been here in 2 years. This stay reminded us why we stopped staying here. Room was dirty, promised discount was not given, and the slots sucked. Will stay across the river in July.
