Very nice hotel and Casino, not so nice staff.

Pros: The hotel was clean and maintained.
Cons: I would re-evaluate the staff on a regular basis.
Location: There is shopping and other restaurants nearby.
We stayed in the hotel, gambled in the casino, and ate at the Sports Bar. The hotel room was nice and clean. We ran into an employee in the hall that filled us up on bottled water and a very friendly employee who checked our ID's at the casino. The other employees were unfriendly and not helpful. The lady at the check-in desk, the bartenders in the casino, and our waitress in the sports bar were all unfriendly.

Didn't get what I paid for

For $200 for 1 night and a $50 deposit, I had soiled carpet, stains on couch, holes from cigarettes I did ask for a smoking room, I really love the Ameristar and this is my first time being disappointed this. This was not a 4-star experience

They charged me 50 dollars unreturnable check in fee... Everything else are alsome !

Very spacious room and comfortable.

Pros: Entertainment of gaming and restaurants.
Cons: Cleanliness of hallways from the elevators to the rooms.
Location: Historical St. Charles 1/2 mile walk was very nice visit. Lots of shopping and restaurants.
Wife enjoyed shopping in historical St. Charles nearby. Bathroom had two sinks, tub and a separate shower. Three TV's. Restaurants are very convenient. Everything was impressive. Cleanliness of hallways from the elevator to the rooms need more attention. Other than that, the stay was perfect.

Arrived at 8;45 pm and room was being ckeaned Could not check in Had confirmed arrival earlier in the day

Very nice hotel to stay in!

It was a great port in the storm from the traffic on I-70 and all the other roads. You just want to spend your whole vacation in your room!

Wish we could of stayed longer!

Pros: Loved loved the pool, best pool ever!!!!! Such a beautiful area, plenty of chairs, not crowded. Parking was easy, didn't cost extra!!!! Will be back
Cons: Room ready to go when you check in, especially when you reserved it a month ago, they should be expecting us and be ready to give us the keys!
Location: Very close to everything we did. St. Charles historic shopping, Lewis and Clark area. Swimming pool at hotel/relaxation.
Check in I thought would be a breeze, but they said our room wasn't ready, we would have to wait..I sat down less than 5 minutes, they call me to tell me my room is ready but I have to get in line and wait my turn to get keys, that was irritating, but boy when we opened up our room, we were so happy, we were on the 21st floor with a river view OMG the room was very nice!!! We want to come back and stay longer another time for sure!!!! The pool was clean, big, water temp perfect and the hot tubs felt so good! Pool hours with kids ended at 8pm, wish it didn't. My daughter loved everything but the TV wouldn't let her watch Nickolodean channel, it would just black out, but we watched other channels. I couldn't have asked for a better room, location of the room, made me and my daughters day!!!! Friendly staff. Hotel restaurant food was great! Daughter enjoyed the arcade too.

Nice hotel with easy access.

Hotel stay was great, check in took a little longer than I wanted but it was ok. The rooms could use some softer pillows. Nice and clean rooms.

Great hotel and close to St Louis

Pros: I like having a suite and the restaurants are reasonable.
Cons: Room cleanliness. There was dust on all the surfaces and the window was dirty.
Location: Close to all the places I wanted to visit.
I visit Ameristar once a year to visit my family in St Louis. It is a great location close to all the places I like to visit.

Great hotel

Nice clean hotel with friendly staff. The only complaint I have us that with all the restaurants downstairs and possible leftover takeout, the rooms have a fridge but no microwaves.
