Pros: I love the location and the restaurants/bars around the facility are wonderful.
Cons: Clean the rooms with more care. Get the stains off the couches, chairs and walls.
We have stayed at this hotel many times, but this time the couch and the chair in the room had stains on them that were disgusting. There were splatter stains on the walls as well. The chair stain was very obvious and about the size of a basketball. Yuck!!

Great check in and nice clean room. The bathroom is amazing. Nice big rooms with sitting room attached. Three TVs total in room.

Do not stay here!!!!

Horrible, filthy room!!! Makeup on pillow cases, hair in bed, hair in shower drain, rotting food in refrig, urine on toilet seat, nonworking phone n tv, etc, etc, etc.... never again....

Neat, but not clean

Pros: casino - food close by
Cons: Clean the rooms better
Location: main street was really neat
I started out on floor 8. I checked in early on Friday and when I came back from the wedding the whole 8th floor smelled like pot and all the rooms apparently were booked for some reunion or just a large party. I called the front desk to ask them to handle the situation, but they didn't. I then called back and requested my room/floor to be moved and they did do that and very quickly. Once I moved to the 9th floor and started walking to my room I noticed the door wasn't shut so I went in and had to check all closets and what not since I wasn't sure if it was left open intentionally or accidentally. After assessing the room I finally got some sleep. When I woke up to turn my alarm off that's when I noticed a cigarette ask behind the nightstand along with a lot of dust on the walls and floors. Overall I think the hotel is neat, but not very clean. I plan to revisit, but for the casino and restaurants

Very nice hotel and Casino, not so nice staff.

Pros: The hotel was clean and maintained.
Cons: I would re-evaluate the staff on a regular basis.
Location: There is shopping and other restaurants nearby.
We stayed in the hotel, gambled in the casino, and ate at the Sports Bar. The hotel room was nice and clean. We ran into an employee in the hall that filled us up on bottled water and a very friendly employee who checked our ID's at the casino. The other employees were unfriendly and not helpful. The lady at the check-in desk, the bartenders in the casino, and our waitress in the sports bar were all unfriendly.

Didn't get what I paid for

For $200 for 1 night and a $50 deposit, I had soiled carpet, stains on couch, holes from cigarettes I did ask for a smoking room, I really love the Ameristar and this is my first time being disappointed this. This was not a 4-star experience

They charged me 50 dollars unreturnable check in fee... Everything else are alsome !

Very spacious room and comfortable.

Pros: Entertainment of gaming and restaurants.
Cons: Cleanliness of hallways from the elevators to the rooms.
Location: Historical St. Charles 1/2 mile walk was very nice visit. Lots of shopping and restaurants.
Wife enjoyed shopping in historical St. Charles nearby. Bathroom had two sinks, tub and a separate shower. Three TV's. Restaurants are very convenient. Everything was impressive. Cleanliness of hallways from the elevator to the rooms need more attention. Other than that, the stay was perfect.
