"Quiet Location, Lovely Staff"
We had a lovely stay at the Wingate. The room was clean and comfortable, and all the staff we encountered were cheerful and helpful. Breakfast was nice and the hotel had excellent amenities. Wifi worked well and this is the only hotel in the area with a hot tub. Their laundry facility was clean and well maintained. The staff was decorating for Christmas while we were there and everything looked beautiful. Quiet location away from noise and traffic.

St. Charles sits at one end of the 225-mile Katy Trail State Park bicycling and hiking trail. Founded in 1765, Daniel Boone was an early resident, and Lewis and Clark trained here before heading west on the Missouri River in 1804. Today, the town features a restored historic main street, Missouri’s original capitol building, and well-attended Civil War, Christmas, and music festivals.
