Older Hotel

Posted Sep 21, 2015
Pros: It was inexpensive and clean.
Cons: Maintenance of the rooms, updating of rooms and bed types. Parking lot repaving.
Location: Nice area with Walmart close by and many dining options. Close to sports complexes.
At check in I found out that the "Double" room I booked meant only 1 Double Bed. Wasn't accommodating for 2 adult women & 17 yr old boy. Only rooms left with 2 beds were smoking. Front desk clerk was very clear that it was my fault that I booked the wrong type of room & couldn't cancel it. I came up with the solution of a rollaway, no offer from the clerk.... as remember it was my fault! Hallways and room very were clean, but the rooms were outdated with the exception of a flat screen TV and the rounded shower curtain bar. There was no light bulb in the lamp, Hairdryer was partially hanging by 1 bolt to the wall, Toilet seat busted entirely with the rusted bolt laying on the bathroom floor. I tried to change the massage shower head from the "beat the crap out of you" setting to a "shower spray" and the entire dial/shower head fell off. Upon check out, there was a man in a turbin asking the clerk if the money had come out OK? When I asked for a maintenance request and she asked what was wrong, he immediately turned and walked away. Assuming he was an owner, as there was a Lexus with a "DAYSINN" license plate was in the reserved parking of 2 spots right in front of the hotel (Not for guests loading or checking in...just reserved).

The bed and pillows were awful.

Posted Sep 14, 2015
Pros: The first lady when we checked in was very nice and helpful. The lady the next day at the fron desk, not so much.
Cons: New pillows and mattresses. Clean the stains off the wall and lamp shades. That was gross.
Location: Location was very convenient.
The bed and pillows were awful. The mattress was very lumpy and uncomfortable and I could barely walk the next day because my back hurt me so badly. The pillows very flat to the point of being non existent and extra pillows were not available when I requested them.

Good Location for shopping and travel through

Posted Aug 30, 2015
Pros: Close to the highway and the price
Cons: Upgrade in room and towels.
Location: Shopping and Dining
Clean neat and tidy but not luxury by any means. Met the basics and we were passing through so it was a good location for food shopping and highway access. The breakfast was also acceptable. Nice room for breakfast.

Hotel good for its location

Posted Aug 6, 2015
Cons: A bit more deep cleaning would be good.
Location: I was in the area for a conference and its location was great for that and it was quiet.
I could use a bit more updating, did have an slightly off smell and the air conditioner had dust on the vent so I took the plastic front off and cleaned the filter that just comes off and is cleanable, did not want the dust circulating in the room. But otherwise it was good.

Verify bad smell in the room. Will not be staying there again!

The air conditioner in my room, though functional, was older than me by a long shot. The hot tub and pool area didn't look as though they had been updated since 1980. My room itself had quite a bit of mess in the corners and such.

Good price; pet friendly

Posted Jul 22, 2015
Pros: pet friendly and fair price
Cons: All was okay
Location: Downtown area of St Cloud. Stores and shopping are convenient.
We chose this motel because they allow pets, but they do charge extra for them. The facilities were adequate and the room was clean. It is a somewhat rougher crowd who stay here, but they were no trouble and we did not feel unsafe. It is in the city of St Cloud so difficult to walk pets: pretty much all cement and blacktop. We would stay here again.

Not ideal

Posted Jul 13, 2015
I thought I booked a room w 2 beds, but apparently I didn't. The bed was extremely small for 2 ppl, and the texture if the blanket in the bed made my skin crawl. The staff was great for early check in, but that's the only nice thing I have to say
