Nearby to shopping.

Posted Aug 3, 2015
Pros: Location to shopping.
Cons: Maintenance of rooms and building in general.
Location: Near to many tourist shops selling t-shirts, souveneers, cafe's, etc.
The hotel is old and in need of repairs. However, the staff is very friendly and tries hard to accommodate your needs.

It was not at all what was expected. I ended up checking out early, the paint is peeling off the wall, there was little roaches running around and roaches wings on the coffe maker and the table stand. No Curtains in the rooms and not all at like the picture listed on the website.

Historic Hotel next to Boardwalk

Posted Jun 18, 2015
The location of the hotel is ideal because it's in the historic district of Christiansted and is adjacent to the Boardwalk (where some restaurants and bars are located and where you can take a short ferry ride to a small beach on a cay in the middle of the harbor). You can also see the seaplanes taking off and many boats or yachts either anchored or sailing away. The view is beautiful. The hotel itself is difficult to access if you can't climb stairs (no working elevator) and is a bit run down but not lacking in the basics (good water pressure, air conditioning, bathroom supplies). We stayed in the "Mocko Jumbie Suite" which had a fabulous view of the harbor, mini fridge, flat screen TV (limited channels), sitting area, and king-sized bed. It was spacious, but the a/c didn't work very well in cooling the room (mini-split is too small and the room's location in the corner with so many windows and the sun coming directly inside contribute to the problem). We did complain, but there was really nothing that could be done other than closing the blinds to block the sun and leaving the a/c on all the time. The front desk staff was courteous but didn't offer any info beyond what was on a piece of paper at check-in. We had to discover things ourselves by picking up tourist guides and maps and asking. The hotel is charming if you like buildings with character and history if not, go elsewhere. I recommend "Angry Nates" for breakfast on the Boardwalk. I would stay at Club Comanche again.

Fair hotel

Posted May 18, 2015 on Hotels
Small space with just a peek of the ocean ( well once you ask for ocean view). My spouse and I stayed in the attic, well that what I called it. AC worked well, the wooden floor creaked every time we stepped on them, so we tried to be quiet. Our bed was made everyday. I Won't advise anyone to go swimming in their pool, they have an okay pool side though. They WIFI was kicking. Un-leveled flooring, my hubby pointed out but the bathroom was clean even though the toilet moved every time I sat on it. If you enjoy walking steps, #15,17 area is where you wanna be, oh the elevator doesn't work but in all honesty, we enjoyed our stay, hubby and I had quality time together & the employees were courteous. You get what you pay for.

Good location bad room

Posted May 16, 2015 on Hotels
Room was very basic. The phone did not work and the room was filled with Mosquitos. I have to say after the second night housekeeping was on point. Overall great location but room sucks also there is no parking you have to drive around in a circle to find parking or park at a lot down the street.

Hyggeligt, lille hotel i centrum af Christiansted

Det er et hyggeligt, lille hotel i centrum af Christiansted. Billedet på siden her er måske lidt misvisende, da swimmingpoolen er meget, meget lille.
