We took our two boys (16 and 23) on a Christmas dive vacation. The hotel staff did an excellent job making sure the rooms were set up according to plan, helping with taxis, car rental, etc. Great place with extremely friendly people. Our rooms overlooked the ocean and were close to the more casual restaurant / bar.... which has really good food. The hotel itself was the perfect location for us. We didn't want to be in the middle of town. We rented a jeep for the 10 minute ride to the dive boat in the morning (rental car is highly recommended... the island has a lot to see in different locations....nothing's far, but you need a car). We dove with St. Croix Ultimate Blue Water Adventures.... great shop... highly recommended. We also took a day to go to beach bar hopping.... lots O fun. All in all, it was a great trip. We plan on going to St. Croix again soon.... and will definitely stay at the Tamarind Reef.

We were there for my wife's birthday. We had a very nice oceanfront room. Anything we asked for was immediately addressed. It is not the Buccaneer, but neither are the prices. I think the government spends more money promoting tourism in St. John and St. Thomas than they do in St. Croix. Frederiksted, although it has excellent restaurants and a pleasant beach, is a ghost town when the cruise ships aren't there. Our favorite meal was at the Savant in Christainsted. Most restaurants except for The Terrace have limited seating so reservations are a good idea. We also ate at the Beach Side Café, Blue Moon, Rum Runners and the Bombay Club. All meals were delicious. We were never harassed anywhere we went in town and everyone was friendly and helpful. 2017 will be their big celebration.

We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The staff (especially Scott the bartender) made our stay exceptional. Everyone was friendly, accommodating and professional. The food, entertainment and activities were abundant. We would definitely recommend this resort to anyone who needs a bit of Paradise in their life. Simply a slice of heaven.

Nice no frills hotel. Great location close to the harbor and great restaurants. clean, functional. Pool chemicals were out of whack- my daughters blonde hair was green within 5 minutes! Parking in the back lot was tough if there are a lot of cars. Besides that great value for the money.

Our stay couldn't have been better. The rooms were clean. The pool was sparkling, and the beach and ocean were only steps away. It was also a gated community with security people present and felt safe. It was quiet even with then man competition was going on.

Great view, excellent value close to the beach. Had no trouble, but maybe a little too secluded. Did not see the presence of any security in case of a problem. Was difficult to find anyone after hours.

Very secluded/no other hotels nearby. Not on a strip. Tropical surroundings. Nice beach. Room had a great big screened in porch. Large bathroom area. All buildings are two stories so it's not a large towering hotel. Intimate. Only 2 restaurants: one with bar type food. Other was very good. Entrees ranged $26-$42. Bkfst $24!! No entertainment at night. About 25-30 mins to town. We give it a 3.5 star rating. Nice place. Good for relaxing. Great pool. Very good Place but not excellent.
