Best ever! Stay at the Buccaneer!Posted Sep 30, 2015
Pros: The beauty!
Cons: I can't think of any improvements.
Location: There is swimming of course, golfing, horse riding, eating, gardens, kayak tours, and great scenery.
The Buccaneer is a place of peace and quietness. The Buccaneer is a place to rest or add as much activity as you want! The Island has many great places to eat. The food at the Buccaneer is also great.

Excellent staff and historic facilities.Posted Aug 27, 2015
Pros: Superbly maintained, regal history, new additions and privacy.
The age of it made hundreds of years ago, 1653, by the Dutch. Limestone marble tile with panoramic view on top of high point of St. Croix. We traveled across the island from this easy access hotel with the most polite and eager to please staff and support services. They know how to make your stay special.

They set the bar highPosted Aug 25, 2015
Pros: They had everything you could think of. The local boating tour companies make a pick up right at the dock of this hotel.
Cons: nothing I can think of.
Location: Very close by to local town with plenty of shopping and restaurants.
I did my research and checked out every hotel in St. Croix. This was my family's first trip to the Caribbean so I wanted it to be the best possible. The Buccaneer did not disappoint us. I travel all the time and this was one of the best hotel resorts I have been to on an Island. The staff was great, The room I choose was Deluxe Ocean View and it was 20 steps from the beach. They have 3 great beaches and offer everything you could possibly need to enjoy them at no extra charge. The food was very good at the 4 restaurants they have. If you like golf they have a great course right on the property. You never really need to leave the hotel. People talked to some people on tours and they all hated the other hotels they stayed at and wished they stayed at the Buccaneer. I would definitely go back to this hotel again.

Nice and expensive hotel. Good beach. Not crowed.Posted Aug 18, 2015
Pros: The nice views and things to do.
Cons: Open the bar later and the lunch bar at the beach should stay open later than 5pm. They should have snack after the restaurant close.
Location: Have to take a taxi into town.
The hotel have a lot of things to do on site..........

Had an ocean-front view. Was stunningly gorgeous!Posted Aug 12, 2015
Pros: My husband enjoyed the shower and the water pressure! We both loved the bed and the firmess of the mattress and softness of the pillows! So lovely!
Cons: Stronger lighting in the bathroom for putting on makeup! Would like lounge bar to have been open daily vs. only certain nights. Very disappointing.
Location: The location was excellent! With Christianstad so close by, most everything was conveniently located.
It was a fabulous island to visit! It was a gorgeous beach and the views from all around the hotel were impeccable! The hotel staff were top-notch!! All were extremely friendly and helpful in every way possible! There is lots to do and see in St. Croix. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the half-day snorkeling trip to Buck Island. The food in the hotel was delicious! We dined in the "Kendrick" the night we arrived as well as the lounge area. The "Mermaid" outdoor facility also had excellent food as well as service!. All three places had excellent food! We thoroughly enjoyed hearing Elizabeth Armstrong give the guided tour of the hotel and all the history behind it as well as the island. She was MOST knowledgeable as well as so pleasant and extremely helpful. It was a wonderful week and I would highly recommend visiting St. Croix! The people are so cordial!

Top Quality HotelPosted Aug 9, 2015
Pros: There were no problems or issues on our overall stay at the Buccaneer.
Cons: The only comment is that the bathroom fixtures need to be updated. However, everything worked and that's what counts when your on vacation.
Location: We rented a car and was able to get to planned destinations within 30 - 50 minutes. So the Hotel was in a good location.
The Buccanner is a top quality hotel in terms of amenities, staff service, and cleanliness. My wife and I had a comfortable stay at the Buccaneer. The complimentary breakfast was excellent and the staff was very courteous and provided quick service. The room we stayed at was spacious, clean, and the maid service was first class.
