Our hotel room didn't have any USB ports for charging or plugging in electronics even though the hotel is very new.
Also, for some reason my perfectly healthy husband and I were given a room meant for handicapped guests. This meant our room had a doorbell which people seemed drawn to ring when they walked by. When we called the front desk about this, we were told the doorbell was "required by law" for handicapped rooms, so it could not be turned off and there wasn't much he seemed to be willing to do about the unwanted ringers.
Then the second night the guests in the room above us were either a group from Riverdance or bad parents with bad children. There was constant running across the floor and what sounded like jumping off the bed.
We had to be up and gone the next morning by 6:00 AM, so at 9:30 I called the front desk to ask that they do something. The person who answered the phone said he would call the room; however, he either didn't call them or he did and the people didn't care, because the noises continued until after 1:00.
When we left the next morning, the new desk clerk asked how our stay was and I was quite frank with her. She apologized and said she wished we would have called the front desk again, because she came on at 11:00 PM and would have handled the situation. She also said the person on the desk before her did not make her aware that we were having issues.
This is the third time we've stayed at a Best Western and it will be the last.
