Scenic and comfortable

The room was clean and all that we needed. We used the hotel's pool, beach area, snorkeling equipment and had breakfast there. The staff was friendly and helpful however it was needed. I don't however recommend their taxi service. My daughter, who lives on the island, said he charged us 3 times the normal rate to take us up the road to the airport. I felt robbed by him.

Beautiful grounds; wonderful beach

Pros: The setting. Room overlooked two ponds and the ocean
Cons: The rooms could use an upgrade. The dining options are limited.
Location: Near the airport, but not bothered by noise. Aquarium, good restaurant, half mile walk down beach. Beach House, excellent dining short cab ride away.
Stayed five nights during the off season as Hurricane Irma hit the northern Antilles. The hotel grounds are beautiful, but the rooms are showing their age (last renovated in 2005). Noisy air conditioning, faulty bathroom lighting, stained tiles. But the price was right. Very accomodating staff (major room upgrade at no additional cost) and a marvelous beach, well protected from the prevailing easterly wind. Ocean side pool also could use some upgrading..

Beautiful setting

Pros: The hotel is so close to the airport we walked to it.The position is wonderful, right on the beach and the grounds are stunning
Cons: Room decor & main buildings a little tired. Better entertainment in the evening would greatly improve atmosphere. Some staff seem a bit fed up
Location: Walking distance from the airport. Bus stop just outside for St Georges or Grand Anse etc.
The position of the hotel is amazing, most rooms having a view of the sea. The gardens are beautifully kept and the beach is wonderful. We were all inclusive and I thought the food was plentiful and very good. However, the hotel decor is very tired and needs updating to bring it up to standard. I think this is reflected in the price. The pool bar/restaurant area seems to have had an update and is much improved since our previous visit but the main hotel bar lacks atmosphere. Evening entertainment was dire! One night we had to endure bingo! This is a shame as the hotel is generally quite lovely and should attract a lot more people.

Great hotel. A lot of steps may not be suitable for people with mobility issues.

I enjoyed my stay. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. The food most days equated to a satisfactory quality. There were a number of stray cats on the compound (I don't like cats) this was a negative for me. The eating area near the poolside was laiden with flies during the lunchtime period. Staff tried to remedy the problem by removing dishes from the tables etc but this didn't seem to help.

Nice hotel & close to the beach

My wife and two teenage sons and I enjoyed their stay here. Not a hotel for little kids. The staff although pleasant could smile a little more especially the bar staff. Glen, the manager was exceptional. With one day notice, upon hearing it was my wife's birthday he arranged special seating with flower petals and a cake - thank you again. The only irritation was being charged $4 EC for using the phone for a local call. The night manager was nice in his explanation but it still bothered me. Would definitely stay again.

Nice hotel close to the airport

Pros: The swimming pool and bar area is on a cliff and overlooks the beach. This for me was the most relaxing spot to just chill out.
Cons: The resort itself is in need of some upgrades. Some of the facilities e.g. bathrooms are a bit outdated, no elevators, general appearance etc.
Location: The hotel is about a 20-minute ride from the capital.
I stayed at the Grenadian in June 2017. The hotel is located about 2 minutes away from the airport. The hotel is charming but in need of some TLC. e.g. there were no elevators so we/the bellman had to walk up 2 flights of stairs with our luggage. The staff is very friendly and the daily buffets were filled with local fruits and foods which were quite tasty. The Tour Company on site (Insight Tourism) was extremely helpful and helped us to arrange transportation to the capital and also a tour of the underwater sculptures. Based on the price that I paid for my package I was satisfied and would return.

Overpriced for what you get but staff tried to acc

Staff is friendly and helpful, I would say some lack a sense of urgency however overall the staff experience was good. As for the room, they have several issues and could use some renovating to increase their ratings perhaps.
