The pool has literal lumps of black dirt on the tiles, it hasn’t been cleaned for a long time. The jacuzzi is the same temperature as the pool and also dirty. No shower facilities after the “swim” Run down hotel, breakfast staff were just there, never said good morning, no interaction from any staff actually. Won’t be staying there again.

We do have a very strict schedule for cleaning the pools, the showers and changing rooms are next to the gym behind the pool and we are taking great pride in our staff as they are very friendly and professional, as you can see from almost every single review we have. There was very little to dislike, this is a 3 star hotel that shoots above its grading. The staff were very particular on keeping the property clean and in order.

A decent hotel
The hotel is situated near shops and cafes and a 15 minute walk to the beach. The reception staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. I didn't have breakfast there as there was no plant based milk available even though I messaged in advance. I was surprised to be asked to buy my own oat milk! The hotel's decor is very dated but I understand it's going to close soon so no point in wasting money updating the property.

Room 214 toilet was very small. Felt like i was in a Campervan toilet. Location good and facilities good.

Breakfast was good. Staff pleasant and helpful. Room was adequate and clean apart from an unidentified stain on the carpe, although an attempt had been made to clean the spot. Bathroom was clean, shower was just a bit feeble! On the whole I would rate the Apollo as good

The rooms were cleaned daily and were spacious enough for 2 people. The buffet breakfast was great with ample choice for everyone. We had dinner in the restaurant several times the food was delicious in particular the Seabass. The staff were very helpful and friendly especially Joe and Micha who were attentive throughout our stay. Lovely hotel hope to visit again.

Not worth the money go elsewhere!
Got to room bathroom light not working, did get fixed after I reported it, The visible bedding was clean and in good condition. The pillows and duvet we awful, old and lumpy and the mattress was not comfortable. Dirty grouting in the bathroom and the shower leaked all over the floor. I wanted somewhere to sleep, adjoining the lift shaft didn’t enable that. Stayed Premier Inn last night excellent, chalk and cheese, and a lower price including all you can eat breakfast! Will not stay at the Apollo again when I visit relatives.

Great Hotel and friendly staff.
We had driven through France overnight to catch an early ferry to jersey. We arrived at the hotel at 09:30 to be greeted by very friendly staff. We were both very tired and asked if it was possible to have our room early so as we could have some sleep. The front desk were happy to oblige and we had a great sleep in a very large comfy bed. Great hotel, great friendly staff. Thank you :-) Would highly recommend. Jim n Val Henderson from France.

Apollo Hotel Jersey Aug/Sep 2021
7 night stay at the Apollo Hotel. Poor start that improved after day 1. Room was smelly, dusty broken fan, broken wardrobe sliding door, broken toilet seat!! Smell turned out to be the 'Shower Curtain Rail'. All these issues were fixed by the next morning. We used the indoor poole and jacquzi 2 or 3 times day, and we had it to ourselves most of the time. I believe the hotel is closing somtimes soon though.

Pros - gardens were lovely, a real sun trap when much colder outwith hotel. Very clean. Breakfast was good value for money at only £10. Staff were lovely. Cons - my room was on main road so quite noisy. Zero soundproofing from upstairs, squeaking floorboards right across bed area. Toiletries provided were minimal and not replenished (1 sachet of shampoo and 2 shower gels). Decor very dated (but absolutely spotless). Not all facilities open - pizza place not open during stay, bar food only available 1 day of my stay, cocktail bar wasn’t open.

Decor and furnishings a little dated. The main feature is the pool waterslide which actually only operates at certain times. Our room on the second floor was constantly hot despite having both windows wide open from our arrival to departure - to the extent that after showering in the evening I felt like I needed another shower by the time I had dressed and done my hair and face. Major issue was the wooden sliding doors on the wardrobe - they were very noisy and I was concerned they would wake our neighbours. Similarly the drawers on the chest of drawers had dropped from their runners so were difficult to use. The breakfasts were good tho' maitre d' was a bit of a Basil Fawlty ! Only had one evening dinner which was disappointing. Staff all very friendly.

Very tired and poor hotel. Have heard it will be closing as a hotel and being converted into apartments. Best bet for it in my humble opinion.

Great Holiday Destination
