The only problem with this excellent facility is the ongoing pounding noise till late at night from the downstairs music at the bar

The aircon in my room was particularly noisy and I woke up numerous times during the night. Turning off the aircon made the room too hot. I was glad to get home for a decent night's sleep. The shower was a bit hit and miss too with tepid one minute and scorching hot the next. Difficult to use the complimentary shampoo as it didn't like to come out of the bottle! I would have like to make use of the Spa and swimming pool but time was not on our side as we were over in Jersey trying to sort out our recently deceased Aunt's estate. Perhaps another time - hopefully there will be a room with decent air conditioning and a not so temperamental shower!

The hotel is in an ideal position for everything. No need for taxis to get anywhere as close to the bus station. The restaurants in the hotel are good but shopping is close to hand and no matter what facilities are used the staff are excellent.

The hotel was very close to the bus station, plenty of dining options near by if you didn't want to eat in the hotel. Breakfast was very good and staff very attentive...we will definitely return.

Great location. Great breakfast. Room wasn’t brilliant and quite small. Needed to move room as couldn’t move around bed without hitting my head in eves. Note there is a night club on location and noise could be an issue if room not soundproofed. All in all good but could have been better..

Great location on Liberation Square close to restaurants, shops and transport links. Room was good but cleanliness could have been better (staff need to look under furniture) and service generally good although the bouncer on the door when returning from our meal out on Saturday night was rude and wasn’t particularly a great representation of the hotel in general. Would return based on location and facilities.

Poor experience altogether. Very dated room despite booking a superior room. Only 'allowed' one key card despite multiple travellers. Staff not particularly accomidating to requests.

This would have been a 4/5 star review, however on check out we were accused of taking something from the mini bar, and despite the fact that we told them this was a mistake, we were still charged for it after we left. I had to tone the hotel more than once and was told they needed to investigate before they can issue us with a refund. It’s not about the money but about being treated like a liar over a drink. Shame really as the hotel is lovely otherwise.

We had a lovely 4 days at The Royal Yacht hotel, the room was spacious and welcoming, the staff were very helpful and the whole ambiance was good. The spa and gym were excellent and well maintained and much appreciated. The breakfasts were very good with a large range of options, service was fast and efficient and the dining area has very spacious. We only ate lunch there once, in the Grill Bar, and it was an excellent meal. I can thoroughly recommend the hotel and St Helier, it was cheaper to fly to Jersey, have 4 days at The Royal Yacht than to have two nights at a similar hotel in The New Forest!

Food poisoning from the restraunt on the first night. No hot water next day And third day heating not working. Window allows alot of cold air in. Very ill because first night and struggled the rest of the time

Jersey Quirky Spa
Great location. Great service. Comfortable and clean. It’s a quirky hotel that leans more modern in a semi-quirky older town. The staff was great. I didn’t partake in any of the spa services. My only knock was that I ended up having to work more than I anticipated, and the internet wasn’t great. Otherwise, it did the trick.

A little tired- in some areas..
Starting to look a little worn I. The bedrooms.. esp the carpets and chairs. A 4 star I would say it just scrapes too. It was a return stay within a few weeks.. didn’t remember us at all so staff friendly but not attentive…
