Nice hotel in excellent position for amenities.

The only downside was the breakfast. There was a wide variety of options but the hot food was not hot but luke warm even at the beginning of service.

Pros: Dining area was excellent. Foyer was lovely.
Location: Excellent location
Overall a pleasant experience. Reception staff not as welcoming as we would expect in Au. I paid full price at peak season. Because I was by myself in the room, they reduced the towels to the 1. When I asked for 2, they did it for the day, then reverted back to the one again. So hot, you needed 2 to 3 showers a day and after swimming. Also have to use the same towel in the morning. The King bed is 2 singles put together with a thin piece of foam placed on top. Not all that comfortable. The shower was in the bath with a glass screen. Which is ok, but the huge gap between the bath and the glass allowed all the water to flow over on to the floor. Every time you have a shower you flood the bathroom. So when you go to the toilet, it's always wet. It must be so annoying for the cleaning staff.

A good hotel close to amenities

Posted May 31, 2017
Pros: Good choice of food at breakfast.
Location: Ideally located to get to Sliema for ferries and Valletta which is a beautiful place to visit.
The hotel is ideally situated close to cafes and restaurants and the bus stop for local transport is close by. St. Julian's is quite a lively place with clubs and bars nearby but the hotel is quiet and we were never disturbed by noise.

Hotel close to amenities

Pros: It's access to everything that I needed.
Location: There is a beach/bay at Paceville which is a short walk away.
Stayed here for a couple of nights prior to a cruise. The hotel was clean, comfortable and the staff were very helpful. Bus stop was across the road and also the stop for the hop on/hop off sightseeing bus. Restaurants and bars within easy walking distance. Breakfast buffet was delightful with a large selection of breads, cakes, fresh fruit, cereal and cooked items. Would definitely stay here again.

Good location and nice views

Pros: Location was great, walkable to everything in St. Julian's.
Cons: New beds, they were horrible!
Location: Location was great, walkable to everything in St. Julian's.
The hotel had great views (if willing to pay for it), and was walkable to all the bars and restaurants in St. Julian's. The wifi was horrible! Even worse were the beds, which were likely from the 90's. They were old box spring mattresses that squeak, and were very uncomfortable. The hotel needs to invest in new beds. Otherwise, the breakfast was decent and offered nice views of the sea. Also to consider, the spa does offer a decent pool (strangely the hot tub was cold and the pool was warm), but they charge to use the sauna! Due to the lackluster condition of much of the hotel, they should not charge for amenities that would make up for where they are lacking... Overall, it was a nice hotel, but I think it has a long way to go to impress potential business travelers. For the 20-30s crowd, it would be highly recommended for a fun weekend on the island due to its proximity to the nightlife (and things such as good mattresses likely wouldn't matter).
