I love the location, easy access to restaurant's and grocery store. My favorite lodging is the 2 bedroom cottage. The property needs some renovations.

Hi Tara. Thank you for your feedback. We do have 5 restaurants on our property and we also have two pools with one being 80ft long albeit narrow and the other is your standard size swimming pool. We also have two small kiddie pools. I am unsure how it is small and I am sorry to hear that yu felt that way. There was an unforseen plumbing issue and it was rectified the same day. We do apologize for any inconvenience caused to you due to the plumbing issue, these things do arise unexpectedly and we were able to rectify same day. We are sorry to hear that you were not happy.

The pictures didn't depict what you see in person - I was SHOCKED!!!!! The hotel needs an entire overhaul - painting, maintenance, fixer upper. Management has left the property to run right down! I was moved from my first room - cracks in walls, broken sockets, bathroom needed a huge do over. Shower was a disaster. Second room was much better but Maintenance you can do a much better job with the painting. Hotel only had in a handful of guests, first night felt like we were the only ones there. Waterfall never turned on until 3rd day I was there. Front Office staff very pleasant, rooms kept clean by the Housekeeping Team. Air Conditioner was on point. Thats about it! Everything else sadly was an eye sore. As a Travel Agent it was a HUGE disappointment.

Do not go here unless they fully renovate it!
The hotel is extremely dated. The facilities available - basically the pool, is small but that didn't matter since there was hardly anyone else at the hotel. I booked it for a week and left after my first night there, ended up moving to the Marriott, which was the best decision!

This property is old. I was looking for a smaller quaint property verses a big resort. We had a 2 bedroom house. Inside was very nice, clean and comfortable. Nice beds, air conditioning and washer/dryer a plus. The market outside was great and the people there very helpful. We were able to make some meals at the house, with enough gear in the kitchen to throw some ingredients together. But the overall grounds are aged. From the plain, crumbling mismatched walls of the lobby to the faded old signs and broken stucco of the housing buildings. The plantings and flowers are beautiful and we witnessed pruning and care there, but there is trash in corners and on the beach. Plants above the sea wall are high which limits your view. Access to the beach is borderline unsafe, with broken concrete. Swimming is not allowed on the property because of undercurrents but walking the long beach would have been more enjoyable if getting there wasn't so hazardous and trash was cleaned up. The property next door has a nice gazebo and couple of chairs to sit in to enjoy the beach and this property has no similar feature. Personnel were friendly and helpful whenever we passed by or needed a taxi called. One of the younger maids was very friendly as well. We weren't looking for the vastness and impeccable care of the Marriot, but something in between that and what we had.

Peaceful and pleasant
Pleasant stay at the Sugar Bay Club. Good location with friendly staff. Rooms/decor is dated and could do with a freshen up. Pool area is nice and maintained, could do with a little up date etc. Taxi to the town was approx 20 USD one way and there is a beach by frigate bay which is within walking distance. There is a handy little supermarket and ATM next to the hotel.

Good property for a family vacation. Staff at front desk were very helpful and pleasant. Marla and Ophelia among others. Steven was very helpful in getting our many pieces of luggage to and from our room. Enjoyed the design of the new two bedroom cottages.

The rooms and the property is scrupulously clean, and the staff are really helpful and obliging. There are good restaurants right next door, for breakfast and evening meals. The property shows its age and needs some upgrading, but is great for the price.

It was an inexpensive place to stay, Very outdated. The ocean front is really unusable. Cute little pool almost always had to ourselves. Just a long walk to a usable beach. Plenty of good places to eat within walking distance. It is a good inexpensive place to stay with no frills. you will have a very friendly staff that will do everything they can to make you happy.

the front desk people, the service people at the hotel are very friendly. The hotel is kept very clean, despite being there for only 24 hours, had no much time to look around. the property itself is a little worn out and the rooms are pretty decent. you can have a nice sleep and the location is well around small places to eat. also a full convenience store with everything you may need and more. also a pizza place next door, little slow on service but good pizza. If you're in a budget looking for a good spot to stay, this is the place to be. don't expect luxurious but a place to stay.
