The hotel was awesome! Room was great! Atmosphere was great! Staff was great! Food was good but don't get your hopes up on the casino! Save your money!

Pros: CLEAN
Cons: CEILING FANS TO CIRCULATE AIR IN ROOM
Location: ST CHARLES HISTORICAL SITE ON MAIN ST AND OF COURSE THE CASINO
THE WINDOW FACED THE RIVER , VERY CLEAN ROOM, I WISH THEY WOULD OF HAD CEILING FANS IN ROOM, BUT THAT IS MY PERSONAL PREFERENCE, STAFF VERY PLEASANT, WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN IN THE FUTURE IF I WHERE TO TRAVEL IN THAT AREA AGAIN

A week at Ameristar

Pros: Great location, fun place to stay
Cons: One of the cons to this hotel is that the WiFi can be spotty at time, especially on your cellphone
Location: It is close to the freeway so easy to get around west or east; plenty of dining options at the hotel itself if you don't want to leave the premises
Overall nice place to stay, all the rooms are of the suite variety meaning you get a small living area with couch & chair and small table next to the bedroom area this is very nice if your staying more than a couple of days; I had a nice view of the Missouri river outside my window, I would recommend requesting a riverside room when booking; I was there to visit family in St Charles county so the location was ideal for me; of course there is a casino on site for those who like to gamble a little; they had a blues bar with live music on the weekend but i didn't make it in there. I think you receive fair value for what you receive.

Avoid this place if you don't like smoke

Pros: Room was good.
Cons: Check in service. Staff need to be trained and efficient. Although it is a smoking facility, it must not consume the whoel lobby.
I inhaled second hand smoke for 20 minutes as I waited to be served since smoking is allowed in the lobby. There were two staff talking to each other as I waited to be checked in. One finally started talking to me but in the middle of checking in process she disappeared. There were 5 people waiting in line behind me and no one on the huge check in counter and no explanation. Finally someone shows up and checked in others while I waited for the person who was serving me.

King Spa Suite

My husband and I stayed in the King Spa Suite at the hotel for our 10 year anniversary, on 3/30/17. While it was a very nice looking room, we had a few issues. The first issue was the jacuzzi tub. The drain would not stay closed and kept draining the water out. I called the front desk and they said they would send housekeeping to look at it. After waiting 15 minutes, my husband decided to walk downstairs and talk to the front desk. He asked to be moved to a different room and they said there were no "comparable" rooms available. They then told us they would send someone from maintenance. After another 20 minutes, he showed up and messed with the drain for a while and said that it was fixed. We wound up calling him back, because there was still an issue. Apparently, you have to barely turn the knob, or it would cause the drain not to close. After an hour of that, we realized that the bed was broke down on one side, the room was covered in dust and the window sill above the jacuzzi tub was filthy. I was quite upset, because after paying almost $500 for a room, I expected everything to be perfect. We didn't bother calling down to complain any further, because frankly, we felt they really wouldn't care. When I called the front desk, I didn't even get an apology, so why waste my time. With no "comparable" rooms, that meant we would have to downgrade, or just tolerate the issues we had. The casino was beautiful and the deli they have inside the casino was really good as well. We di

Room was nice toliet had not been flushed make me think that bathroom wasn't cleaned. Over all had a wonderful time will come back again.

The room was very quiet and having a bath tub and separate shower we're very, very nice. The hotel staff was very accommodating and we really enjoyed our time there.

Room wasnt ready, no vallet

We reached hotel at midnight n was told that the room isnt ready coz their housekeeping staff didnt show up. SERIOUSLY? We have a 3 yr old kid n he was sleepy, crying but the staff didnt care. Moreover, there was no vallet staff to park the car. We waited for over an hour to get the room and then i had to go n park the car while my sleepy son was crying n being cranky. I wont stay here again if they r so disorganized.

This was one of the best hotel rooms I've stayed in period. The cleanliness and layout of the room was impressive and the staff was great. I had an issue with 1 of 3 TVs in the room and maintenance was there within 15-20 minutes and addressed it. The overall experience was great, I would stay there again and recommend the hotel with no questions asked.
