"Quiet & Convenient to SLU; Needs some TLC"
We talked to several front desk staff during our stay, most were friendly enough, but not overly helpful. It felt like all they were there to do was check you in. No one offered info on the hotel or room amenities. Booked a Superior King room- 4 nights. The hotel appeared nearly empty so after 1 night we upgraded to a suite (only 2). Worth the extra money. The first room was adequate, but the suite was far superior. There is a living room w/fireplace, large TV, wet bar, fridge, desk, Keurig coffee maker, bedroom w/K bed & TV, plus HUGE bathroom w/jetted tub, spa shower, large double vanity w/TV in mirror. If we had not upgraded, we wouldn't have enjoyed our stay. Needs improvement: More guest services information, better house keeping- No one we asked, knew how to operate the gas fireplace in the room. Housekeeping didn't seem to do much more than change the sheets, leave clean towels and empty the trash. No cups for the coffee maker and no coffee pods, only tea. Lighting is poor in both room categories we stayed in. Overall the hotel seems tired. The gym is neglected. I'm pretty sure we were the only ones to use it in 4 days. The water cooler was empty. There were refill bottles, but no one ever replaced it. The stack of towels was not replenished, by the 4th day we used the last of the towels, the bin to toss dirty towels was not picked up, the sanitizer wipe dispenser was empty so you couldn't wipe down the equipment and the biggest draw back, there is no bathroom

"Comfortable and very convenient "
We stayed at Seven Gables for four nights during the Christmas holiday while visiting family in the St. Louis area. The hotel is a charming, historic building. The staff were kind and helpful. Our room was pleasant with a bed that was terrifically comfortable. The housekeeping staff were attentive and one of the staff even brewed fresh coffee for me in the afternoon when he could have easily told me to use the in-room coffee maker. The breakfast was good, though I would have enjoyed fresh fruit. We will definitely use the hotel again. Be warned- the hotel doesn't have an elevator. If you have trouble managing stairs, you should check about first floor rooms. Also, the hotel is charming and historic. It is not squeaky clean and new. I would have liked to have had recycling bins available for bottles and such. I also would have liked to have had more light in the room. There was one low wattage overhead light and table lamps that were dim....maybe higher wattage bulbs would help. Finally, it would have been great to have a small in-room refrigerator....or liquid creamers for coffee.

"Fabulous, as always!"
We stay here often and it is ALWAYS great! The food is fabulous at the hotel pub and two restaurants across the lot. The Delmar Loop is near by and so much to do and eat!

"Handy downtown location."
The hotel is in an older but still quite elegant building. The staff is excellent -- friendly and helpful. Our room was adequate, but certainly not large. Looking out the window, we could see the air conditioning units on the building next door -- but come on, this is after all a building in the center of the city. The furniture in the public areas -- lounge, restaurant, bar -- looks quite new and attractive but was not at all comfortable. The food was very good, and I liked their beer selection. $30 a day for parking is steep, but there are other less expensive places to park nearby.

"Boutique-style hotel"
Checking-in took more than I anticipated, but the staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking was overpriced considering there was plenty of street parking that was free. Hotel was visually pleasing with a small sitting area and an area with a piano. Free breakfast daily. Rooms were small but comfortable. Bed was comfortable.

"Pleasant stay"
We just wanted a quick getaway and this hotel was in a nice area. We would have come earlier and enjoyed the shops/restaurants around there if we had realized what all was there.

"Lowest Quality Toilet Paper From Russia"
Cleaning staff did not replace the sandpaper TP one day, and that was a surprise one morning. Pack a roll for this hotel. UBER from airport and UBER to your location spots. They gig you with the hotel valet fees which is disappointing for a lower end hotel brand.
