Pros: Overall the staff
Cons: communication
Location: I don't know as we were there because of the close proximity for a medical appointment
Our stay was overall very good. We had been assured that we could have a late check-out (at 2 PM) due to doctor appointment but when I went back at 10:15 AM the room had already been cleaned and keys deactivated. The clerk agreed that the computer had us down for late checkout then she said that the keys were automatically deactivated at 12:00 PM. No problem except that it was 10:15. Very disappointing. Everything worked out and we were able to retrieve a pair of specialty sunglasses left in the room. We also had an opportunity to visit with the owner of the hotel while we were eating a wonderful FREE breakfast. :)

Nice hotel close to WashU

Posted Aug 24, 2015
Pros: Location and beds.
Cons: Parking
I have stayed here before and will continue coming back. It is very close to Washington University in St. Louis where my son is a student. The breakfast is better than other area hotels where I have stayed and the beds are the most comfortable. The only real drawback is the parking. Valet is $19 per day, or you can self-park in the garage adjacent to the hotel. Unless you park on the level with the walkway to the hotel, you will have to transport your things a fair distance, and finding your room from there can be tricky. Other than that, always a good stay.

Between Expedia and the hotel, it was a horrible e

Pros: The free breakfast was good.
Cons: Don't book 3 adults into a room with a single bed!
Location: We were there to drop off our daughter for school and will be staying in the area multiple times over the next four years, but not at this hotel!
I booked a room for three adults via Expedia and pre-paid so I could get a great rate. The hotel put us in a room with a single king bed and offered us a roll-away for an additional $10 a night. Really? My 16 year-old daughter's feet dangled off the end of the rollaway so it was quite uncomfortable for her. Absolutely not acceptable but we'd have been out over $1000 if we'd gone anywhere else. All the hotel and Expedia would do was blame each other so that's the last time I'll ever use either. There are too many other travel sites and too many other hotels near Washington University in St. Louis for either to ever get our business again over the next 4 years when we visit.

Very outdated hotel

stayed for 3 nights. Free breakfast. The people who work on waffle and omelet are not frirndly, especially the guy. He will ignore you if you are not the person he thinks will give him tips.

Great location.

An excellent hotel in the heart of lively Clayton, Missouri. The free hot breakfast buffet was outstanding. The hotel was once an older property, but has been renovated into something truly magnificent. I would love to return for another visit.
