I was really shocked by just how poor of an experience this hotel was. I knew it was a budget hotel, but even at about $100/night, you still expect certain things. The room had carpet coming up in the corners. Our toilet didn’t flush properly, and we had to take the lid off and manually flush about 1/2 time. The sheets were stained. The chair was stained. The towels were stained. There were hairs everywhere in the bathroom (like on the ceiling everywhere). Stuff all over the walls. We stayed for 3 nights, housekeeping never once went into our room. The elevators feel medieval. We ran into other folks around the elevators and all the other guests would joke with us about how sketchy the elevators were. However, every staff member I interacted with was lovely. Kind and helpful, which makes me think this is a lack of resources issue. I checked in on a Friday night and there was only one woman getting a line of people checked in with no help, but she was still answering everyone’s questions about the area with kindness. It’s definitely not the staff making this place feel more like a $50/night motel than $100 /night.

The hotel was run down, it had wall paper that was peeling off the walls in lobby and hallways. It definitely needed some renovation. Rooms were like the pictures, very clean, only complaint was toilet was in middle of the bathroom and was crooked.

We had a good stay at this hotel . We were there several days and the staff was always friendly we never had any issues . Security was very good here at first I though for a small hotel they over did it with the security on duty but he turned out to be very helpful he helped with luggage and for any other needs you may have he was there to help

An Excellent place to stay, staff is Awesome. Very Clean inside and out. The only downside is its right by the freeway so road noise, but inside you can hardly hear it so I highly recommend staying here,and close to zoo,hospital and all the good stuff.

Staff ruined my stay. The woman at the desk kept taking my stuff off of the luggage cart. Did I ask her to take the things off? No. Was she going to actually help my sick little boy and I to our room? No. When I mentioned that I hoped she didn't put me far away from the entrance, she said no. It was literally one room away from the furthest away. I asked delivery to bring our food to the room, because I was taking care of my sick child. The woman held our food, and I had to leave him. Our food was sitting on the front where everyone walks by, with no one there. No one was watching our food, that they refused to allow the person to deliver to us. The next day, the next delivery driver was chased down to not deliver our food to us by the man working the front desk. That man called me to go down there to get out food. He then called me again, stating that our food was still down there and that I needed to go get it. I told him I was preparing myself to go down to the lobby and taking care of my son who was in really horrible shape at that moment. The guy said he'd bring our food up. Once he got to our door, he noticed that I had a luggage cart. He said that I couldn't keep it in the room. I didn't argue. I asked if someone would be able to bring it back up in the morning for my departure. He said, no. I asked how I was supposed to get all of our luggage all the way down there and out in the front for our car. He shrugged, stated that there's no one at the front desk, & left.

The front desk agent who checked us in the night of 2/9 was amazing! I didn't get her name, but she was so kind and worked to immediately resolve an issue with our reservation. She was also actively sanitizing the area when we walked in, which is always nice to see. The shower water pressure was very low, and the toilet was crooked and struggled to flush. Other than that, it was a nice stay.

Let me start the review off with the staff. Every single staff member that i had any interaction with, was friendly, helpful and genuine. We were treated like family. I have 25 years in customer service and hospitality, and this staff is one of the best overall that i have ever seen. My wife and I stayed for 10 days, and we enjoyed it. We were impressed with the price.....we have stayed at many other hotels in st louis that were charging the same or more than forest park hotel, that were not even close to the level we found at forest park. Each room has a private balcony. Theyre nice large rooms. The beds are reasonably comfortable. The rooms are a little dated but they are kept clean and in good repair. The only things we found that were not good: there were numerous guests that were fighting all hours of the day and night, screaming, slamming doors, assaulting each other. And this would go on for HOURS. Now this isnt the fault of the hotel, but there was nothing done by management to get them to stop, because it continued throughout our stay. Overall a great location staff and stay for a reasonable price. We will definitely stay here again.

Rooms were not clean and had to switch 2 rooms. None of them were cleaned upon arival at 7pm. Ended up staying at a completely different hotel.
