Fairly new hotel in trendy area close to restaurants and things to do. Perfect place to stay with you dog. Hotel bar and restaurant have decent selections for food and drink as well. Most of the staff very friendly and accommodating, though one of the female bartenders inside the restaurant could use a lesson on her manners. The rooftop bar staff was very nice and the view is great. Would definitely go back.

The concept is pretty cool, however, we stay in the Josephine Baker room, that again was pretty neatly themed. However, it was dirty. There were stains on the curtains, the comforter covering the bed had obvious stains as well. It was pretty evident that the hotel is fairly old. I utilized the gym and it too definitely showed its age. Every gym I’ve ever been in and the “nice hotel” has water available. This did not. . I utilized the gym and it too definitely showed its age. We were on third floor and we could hear the music from rooftop bar when trying to sleep. No microwave. CVS walkable sells beer. Great showerhead, comfy bed. Cool lobby. Great in room coffee. Public parking worked for us.

They did not have coffee for my room. Apparently they were out and wanted to charge me $5.00 for one from their restaurant?!! A 3 star at best. Would NOT stay here or recommend

We are very pleased. Clean and tastefully decorated rooms, facility. Great rooftop bar with view of city. Great service. Adjacent to Washington University, St. Louis walk of Fame right on the street leading into the hotel. We’ll be back..

Awesome mini museum inside, very quiet sleeping areas behind security doors. And as someone with back and hip problems, i feel the need to mention how comfortable the beds are! Both soft and firm at the same time. Only negative for me personally is the rain showers, many people love this type of shower, personally its not ideal for me esp with young kids. But hey! Big safety plus is the floor of the shower isnt about to result in a slip!

This place was fine! The moon theme is so cute. Parking behind the building is super easy and there is a lot available. Our pillow cases were very dirty when we got to our room, called for clean ones and went down to grab them. Came back up and noticed the sheets were also dirty/stained. Thankfully we had throws with us so we slept on top of their comforter and used our throws for warmth. The bathroom is spacious and pretty, the toiletries smelled so good but the bathroom was also dirty. Overall it wasn’t anything crazy, but I’ve paid much less at “lower quality” hotels and they were cleaner than here.

This was a terrific place to stay in a great location. The decor was fabulous, the room was great, the bathroom was nice, and the staff were very helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting STL.

We flew in from the West coast and arrived at almost 1am to find that the beds are made with a bottom sheet, then a duvet and a top sheet. So your body is touching the duvet with no sheet between you and the duvet that never gets washed. I've literally never seen that before. It was so late, we just remade the beds with the sheet below the duvet instead of on top of it and folded it over so we wouldn't have to touch the duvet. There were also only 2 tissues in the tissue box. The next morning we were woken up at 7:30 by loud music and banging in the hallway every minute or so. We waited an hour thinking that it would stop or that it was coming from outside but eventually I went out in the hall - it was housekeeping! Playing loud music, and using the lock mechanism to keep doors open and letting them slam every time they went to get something off the cart! I explained that it was making a lot of noise and the housekeeper said, "ok". Then I asked if she could please make our beds with 3 sheets so that the duvet was covered and she said, "ok". We left the room at 9:30am, returned at 5:30, and the room was not clean. I called the front desk and they said housekeeping was gone from the day and what did I need. And they sent up sheets for me to make my own bed. Our room smelled like dog, and there was a dog bed in the hall outside our room all three days we were there. Disappointing.

We stayed there for 3 days, 2 nights and it was amazing. So many restaurants to try within walking distance. The room was clean, staff was friendly and always willing to help. The rooftop and bar was open late and we met some really nice people. Anytime we’re in St Louis we will stay at Moonrise.

The hotel is so cute. It is early March so the rooftop stuff wasn't open, but it was still cool to look out over the area. You can see the arch from there too. The rooms were clean and spacious, lots of cute moon decor. The bathrooms were clean and had nice toiletries. They smelled wonderful There is so much to easily walk too. A very cool world market a CVS, lots of delicious dining options. I was nervous about parking due to other reviews but there were always two security guards when we were out there and it was well lit. They also closed the gates almost all the way late at night so it felt like whoever owns the parking lot took some extra steps to prevent issues. I would definitely love to stay there again.

This hotel is in a great location. Lots of restaurants and shops are walkable from the property. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The one thing to note is that some aspects of the room seem a bit worn and could use a refresh. Wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling some. Chair in room was stained, and the carpet and curtains were pretty dated. These are things my husband wouldn't even notice. So its a great location with nice people, but if you're looking for a spotless or fresh looking room, it doesn't have that.

Sky was very welcoming and the other staff was always ready to assist if you looked lost! The rooms were clean but the ironing board needs some love. Would recommend and stay again.

The beds were very comfortable and the hotel is very unique. The guy at the front desk said he would call me when the room was ready, and I never got a phone call. We were given a room on the 7th floor which was fine, until I realized we were under the bar and the music was really loud until 1:30 in the morning. We were getting up at 6:00 to leave town so we barely slept. The gym area was nice, but I got on the floor to stretch and noticed how dirty the floor was and all the dust on the baseboards. I don't think anyone has cleared the floor in a long time. The sanitizer was empty and the dispenser for wipes wasn't working. I went back to our room to shower and found a big clump of hair sitting on the shower drain. None of us had used the shower.

The hotel is beautiful the staff especially Clay and Ms. A were amazing!! Always helpful going above and beyond! Only issue is the parking ..tight ..need security full time. Several cars broken in to. Sunday night. Probably kids but need security full time whole parking area. Again Beautiful Hitel. Had a great st a y will stay again!
