Very nice hotel to stay in!

Posted Oct 24, 2016
The room has a nice living area, small kitchen, bedroom and bathroom! It's like a studio apartment! They have continental breakfast and you can bring groceries and make your own meal. It's very nice and close to downtown. It's right off the highway and 11minutess to the American center! Loved it!

Rooms are spacious, liked that there was table and chairs in room for my kids to eat at. The complimentary shuttle was awesome - no headache with parking when visiting City Museum/Arch, etc. Called shuttle for pick up and arrived very promptly.

Very satisfied

Extremely nice staff, nice room. They provided free shuttle to downtown which helped since it is located on the south side of the interstate.

Fantastic

Posted Aug 15, 2016
Pros: Good free food. Nice pillows. So handy to have a stocked kitchen when you're traveling. Even the sleeper sofa was comfy!
Cons: The hotel seemed a little outdated and could use some revitalizing. The pool was too dirty to use.
I arrived after an 8 hour drive and a visit up in the Arch. My traveling party arrived in two cars (there were six of us) and the hotel only charged one parking charge. Upon check-in, the front desk clerk told us there was happy hour going on - with free beer, wine, brats, veggie burgers, green salad, fruit salad, potato salad. It was great! The free breakfast was fantastic with a lot of variety and something for everyone. We got a suite for six people, which included two bedrooms (one with one bed and a bathroom; the other with two beds and a bathroom) and a living room with a pull-out couch. It was comfy and spacious and clean!

This hotel was in close proximity to the arch, river boat cruises and the children's museum. All around the surrounding area is fairly rough, there are signs everywhere not to leave things in your car, safest parking here, which leaves me uneasy as far as safety goes. The hotel it's self was nice and clean, good breakfast, not the most personable staff but still helpful.

OK

Was Ok. The pool had algae growing on the sides. The room had stains. The bed was very uncomfortable. But the staff was extremely nice!

Dear OK, Thank you for sharing your experience at the Residence Inn St. Louis Downtown. I apologize for the uncomfortable bedding and I am very excited to share that we will be undergoing a 2 million dollar renovation beginning in September of this year. This will include everything from new bedding to a complete new décor package. I have also passed along the information on the side of our pool to our maintenance department so that they can get that taken care off. Please think of us the next time you are in the St. Louis area and we would be happy to show off our new upgrades. Michelle Bright

Expected Better but Wasn't Bad

Posted Jul 27, 2016 on Hotels
Room wasn't prepared for making out the sofa bed. Appeared to have linens for only 2 people instead of all 3 of us (per our reservation). One of 2 elevators were broken--lots of waiting to get up and down. View on one side is hideous (and we were on that side). Sprinkler system doused our car. Did have free parking (advertised as $10/day for parking). Check-in staff were very, very nice and obviously peddling as fast as they could with a pretty good number of guests coming all at once.

Dear Paula, Thank you for sharing your experience at the Residence Inn St. Louis Downtown. I apologize for the inconveniences you experienced while staying with us. I hope the elevators going down was just an isolated event and I have reached out to our front desk and housekeeping departments to ensure there are enough linens for all guests. Thank you again for your time and I hope you will give us another chance on your next trip to the St. Louis area! Michelle Bright

Over all a great place to stay! Spacious room and was arranged nice and neat! Was easy to get to the stadium and the staff was eager to help at any time ! I would return next time to town. Breakfast was great and they had plenty to choose from! The pool and laundry and fitness center were also a great bonus! Thanks for the hospitality!
