Wasn't advised that there weren't free parking .

Posted Jul 11, 2017
Pros: The hotel staff was very polite but wasn't clear about the breakfast that was being served in the morning, that you had to pay.
Cons: Carpets appeared to need some shampooing.
Location: Plenty of things to do in the area.
I wasn't advised that there weren't any free parking nor was there any free breakfast. I think that when you book a hotel you should be advised of those two things at least. Because it makes a different in how some of your spending will be allocated while vacationing.

Thank you for your comment. Please be advised that when the site in which you booked states "additional fees may apply", that this includes any amenities outside of your room and tax. Sincerely,,

Conveniently located, nice sized rooms

Posted Jul 10, 2017
Cons: Don't charge for wifi access, or at least lower the charge.
Pros - the staff was very helpful, rooms were a decent size, nice location, close to restaurants and short drive to attractions. Indoor pool was a nice retreat after a long day. Cons - $15 per night to park, $10 per night for wifi. Close to courthouse. We arrived late on a Friday afternoon and left on a Sunday, not sure how busy the area would be during the work week, but the area was busy when we arrived and a few restaurants within walking distance of the hotel are not opened on the weekends..

Helpful staff. Rooms need updating.

Posted Jul 6, 2017
Pros: Staff friendliness and helpfulness. Comfortable, quiet room.
Cons: New decor badly in need of upgrading.
Location: Clayton is the St. Louis County seat and the area is awash with restaurants and shops. St. Louis has the country's best free zoo.
The staff was exceedingly nice and helpful. The bedding was top notch and the room was comfortable. Carpeting was extremely dirty. Drapes are old and outdated. Overall the room and corridors are badly in need of updating.

Close to downtown

Hotel was fine. Staff was kind Not sure if it was just my room or not but the air conditioner was very loud. It would come on a couple times every hour all night. I watch TV before I fall asleep. I had to constantly turn up the volume while the air was on. Other than that, it was fine

Service exceeded expectations.

Prior to artival Tim helped with recommendations & restaurant reservations for our group of 10 for graduation. The shuttle was a savior transporting us to and from ceremonies, visits and restaurants. Bobbi and team of drivers were friendly, reliable and available. Front desk, lounge and restaurant staff also were pleasant and helpful.

Great hotel and location.

Posted May 18, 2017
Pros: Like the location, room (especially the mattress/sheets/pillows) and easy check-in.
Location: Easy access to the metro a couple blocks away. Great walking trail through Polo Drive neighborhood. Easy parking.
This is the second time we've stayed in this facility when in STL for a ballgame. Like the hotel and amenities, location, access to transportation and love the city. Great place to stay.

Well located for our purposes

Posted May 5, 2017
Pros: We liked the quality of the room...clean, efficient, fresh. House keeping does a good job.
Cons: SPG should upgrade their standard perks like WiFi access and in room safes.
Location: St Louis was a pleasant surprise after reading articles describing it as a dying city like Detroit. Great art museum that is free and good eats.
First visit to St Louis in many years to visit friends who re-located there from CA. Was looking for a decent place to stay as close to our friends in University City and this was it. Got in early via AMTRAK and the staff allowed us to use the upstairs executive lounge until our room was ready. Unfortunately they did not call or text as they said they would and we spent a few unnecessary hours in the lounge. Despite the fact I am an SPG rewards member they still wanted to charge me $10 a day for what turned out to be mediocre and worse WiFi. If you already have decent cellular data speed [my Verizon worked well] then skip the daily charge. When you leave your room and don't want to take your iPad or computer, you are out of luck because the rooms lack a personal safe...a pretty standard item in hotels of this type and price range. If you are driving and parking a car at this hotel, BEWARE of the exit. This is perhaps the most poorly designed driveway I have ever seen. EVER. The view of on coming traffic is blocked so as you inch out so you can see you get yourself too far out to make the turn if your car [we had a rental Ford Edge] has a wide turn radius. The scrape marks on the wall directly across from the driveway say it all. The parking garage exit is located on a very busy road running parallel to the freeway making matters even worse.

My stay at the Sheraton Clayton was good. The hotel is older, but has lots of character and smells very fresh and clean.
