Good location

Posted Aug 19, 2015
Pros: Friendly staff, good location.
Cons: Revitalize attached mall area.
Location: Rail was close.
Close to rail; and the hotel bar area light show was incredible! The main issue involved the attached 'mall'. Most stores are empty. With some major revitalization - it could really be a great tourist attraction!

Great historic location in Downtown

Posted Aug 19, 2015
Pros: Wonderful historic building and a great location.
Cons: Why have an empty huge convention center and stick a wedding reception in the lobby?
Location: Right in downtown with in walking distance from a number of attractions and there is a great italian restaraunt in the Drury Inn lobby a block away.
We stayed here for a long weekend to explore St. Louis with the kids. The hotel is in the old train station and my wife absolutely loved the architecture. The rooms are new, but the building is definteitly old, in a good historic way. Though I must say that there were some oddities in what they left. An example is the pool when we went at night, we thought was under a glass cycling, however the next day realized it was just left over metal pieces and framing left over from the train yard days. It gave the pool area the look of an old abandoned factory. Additionally this was the first hotel I have been in that used the hotel lobby as a wedding reception venue. Literally the music was so loud that the front desk staff were having to yell at me during check in in order to hear them over the music. Also the ceiling in the hallway leading to our room had apparently given way due to water damage and so they had blowers running constantly in the hall to dry the carpet out. But despite all that I would defintely give this hotel a try again in the future and hope that they continue to address the draw backs, mainly because its a great location and my wife loves historic buildings.

Pros: This hotel is in a good location and it is beautiful.
Cons: The key card access to outside areas. We had to go back to customer service a couple of times to get the card activated and we were not the only ones
This was our first time visiting St. Louis and we had a wonderful time. The hotel was beautiful. The staff was very friendly. This will not be our last time. Thanks for a grand vacation.

A Class Act

Posted Aug 17, 2015
Pros: The classic art deco styling. We fell in love with the lobby and were delighted by the lightshow! Tremendous. Great margaritas - perfect.
Cons: When I went to gently draw the shade in room 310, it pulled loose. I hope it was easily repaired. The wet bar sink fixture was badly tarnished.
Location: Tons to enjoy at Union Station - hotels and shops and food court were very entertaining.
From the very professional valets (notably Sy) and bell staff to the front desk at registration this was a very pleasurable experience. No other way to describe it but "classy" and upscale. We were made to feel so important like dignitaries. Overall VERY well done - Like a step back in time to a golden age of unparalleled American elegance\.

Stort og travelt byhotell

Posted Aug 6, 2015
Pros: Litt for stort og upersonlig. Dyrt. En ekstra natt kostet dobbelt så mye som prisen vi fikk av dere + nesten 50 dollars i skatter.
Location: Nydelig park (Forrest Park), Vakker katedral (St. Louis Basilica Cathedral)
Interessant å se hva man kan få ut av en gammel jernbanestasjon. Imponerende! God restaurant med utmerket service også.

Nice hotel. Really cool re-purposing of the Union Station. Wish more of the retail outlets in the non-hotel portions of the station were activated.
