Built in 1922, a charming, graceful building.

Posted May 31, 2017
Pros: Responsive staff, large room / suite, view, location, reasonably priced.
Cons: They will be in the process of upgrading...it is an old building...hope they keep the charm!
Location: Near Washington U, Whole Foods, The Park!...and amazing park...wow!
Great stay, welcoming and responsive staff, enjoy the pool and facilities if you choose this hotel. Perfect location for our needs. Will book again.

Location great

Posted May 30, 2017
Pros: The lobby, staff.
Cons: Vacuuming the carpet in hallways. Expand the room size or remove a bed.
The Chase is a lobby restaurants pool are what makes this a luxury hotel. We stayed on the concierge floor and were very surprised Webern we opened the door to our room. The room & bath are very small. Two person had difficulty moving around in the room and it was impossible for two people to be in the bathroom at the same time. Rooms are terribly over rated for the price.

Luxury hotel with great location

Posted May 15, 2017
This has always been one of my favorite hotels in St. Louis. It has great amenities and a great locations. I am a big fan of the historic feel to the hotels. That being said, the hotel rooms are beginning to show their age. The 1 bedroom suite needed a refresh. Carpet was worn. The curtains need repaired. I would stay again here but must say that this great hotel needs some attention.

The hotel is very nice with many amenities. The two bedroom suite was perfect for our family, however, we were expecting one king and one queen and ended up with two queens. All restaurants and staff were freidnly and very helpful. The rooms could use an update, but the history and nostalgia of hotel is great.

I typically stay here when visiting St. Louis. Close to light rail and across the street from forest park. Amazing pool and outdoor courtyard. Food was left in fridge and sink did not drain but otherwise the room was great. All but one bar closed early for a Saturday night, and the live entertainment in that one bar was off the chart loud so had to buy drinks there and take them elsewhere.

Third Stay at The Chase

Posted May 7, 2017
Pros: With the exception of that one rude woman, ALL the staff -- night managers Seth and Mark, Anna in the club lounge, bell captain(s) are exceptional.
Cons: Really nothing. Our issue with that one woman was an exception to the norm. I did voice a complaint about her, so I believe it will be addressed.
Location: The Chase is very well located in the Central West End which has tons of restaurants and shops. Also not far from Forest Park.
We stay club level in a suite because we like the amenities and the rooms are not unreasonably priced. Upon check in, we were not given our comp drink vouchers to use in the downstairs bar, but I figured we would get them later. After a 10 hour drive we were eager to get to our room to freshen up. My husband went to the window in the bedroom to peek out and his socks got sopping wet. St. Louis had been experiencing very heavy rains, so no doubt the rain leaked into the room and soaked the carpet in front of the window. I have very bad allergies and the thought of sleeping in a bedroom with wet carpet was enough to get me wheezing. My husband immediately called downstairs and requested we be relocated; the woman who answered the phone was the one who had checked us in. Since he had her on speaker, I could hear her: she was curt, and hung up on him at one point! We were relocated to another suite but it only had a queen bed. Ultimately the night manager, Seth Ammari found us a great suite with a king. He was extremely professional, gracious and kind, exactly what you would expect from a hotel of this caliber. The gal at the front desk, not so much. Later in the stay I called down to ask about our drink vouchers and again, she was rude, insisting that I was not entitled because we were club level. Having stayed before I knew this not to be true, but she persisted to argue the point and HUNG UP ON ME! Another night manager, Mark, apologized and gave us extra vouchers!

We pride ourselves on the top-notch service we deliver to guests, and it was disappointing to learn that one of our team members fell short of our standards. We are pleased our managers rectified your concerns. Thank you for the feedback, we hope you will continue to stay at our property when visiting the area.

Pros: Enjoyed the spa
Location: Was close to Fox Theater
Staff was helpful. We were afraid it would be noisy at night and early in the morning. We were able to sleep late and were not awakened by hotel noise. Thank you!
