Not what it's cracked up to be!

I chose the Hotel Majestic because of the amenities and it appeared to be high end. Upon arrival I noticed there was construction being done which can be a nuisance but I understand remodeling needs completing. The young man at the front desk was very helpful and friendly, however he informed me that the bar/restaurant that was one of the features that attracted me had been permanently closed and room service was not an option. The room had a peculiar odor and the furniture was tarnished. To add to the disappointment, there was a loud disturbance/fight that occurred in the front lobby. The Hotel Majestic was not what I expected on any level and therefore I decided not to stay.

Hotel was filthy, staff was asleep at the desk

Looked like they hadn't cleaned the room in years. I was afraid to sleep in the bed and wouldnt even step into the shower. So gross!!!! And it cost $30 to park my car!

Unsatisfactory accommodations

Cons: Cleanliness, replace noisy heaters

When my wife and I checked in the bed ruffles around the bottom appeared to have stains on them as well as the pillows for the chairs, The shower walls had what appeared to be black mold in several locations on them. The heater throughout the night kept making noises and neither my wife or I got hardly any sleep. Maybe it was just our room but I would not recommend staying there again. The only positive thing was the staff friendly.

Not worth the money

Nostalgic hotel, but not Taken. Mold in the shower. Lost if repairs going on to front lobby. The restaurant and kitchen area poorly cleaned and managed. Hotel staff acted as if they didn't want to be there.

Friendly staff and great location. Nice boutique hotel. Be prepared to pay for parking though.

Pros: Nice rooms
Cons: Install a nice front desk ! better breakfast choices??
No A/C the first night. Was a little strange no REAL front desk?? bar was not open? parking situation was bad. we had to park in the city lot north.

Very few amenities. bar wasnt open, no food, no vending. overall though a very nice property

Service - Service - Service

Location: excellent location in down town STL.
The button line : I would recommend the hotel, location is excellent. The service at the front desk was somewhat lacking courtesy matching the place To add on it the fact the wake up call has never arrived and you could understand the frustration. Breakfast was very nice and pleasing. Rooms are comfortable.

Nice hotel near the Arch

The hotel is a bit shop worn. Still, it's beautiful. The staff is 100% accommodating.
