Pros: Staff, rooms, cleanliness, breakfast and treats
Cons: Really not anything that they have control over.
Location: Restaurants and bars within walking distance, there was also a Whole Foods grocery store within 2 blocks of the hotel. Shuttle available.
Liked everything about the hotel with the exception of being approached numerous times while outside the hotel by individuals asking for cigarettes and money. This was the only draw back. Otherwise the hotel staff and facilities were very pleasing. Check in was fast and simple. Desk personnel were helpful by booking a taxicab for the next day and providing information on the shuttle service and schedule. Several eating places within walking distance of the hotel. The room was very clean and inviting and loved the beds. Our room window directly faced the parking garage so we had to keep our blinds drawn the entire time we were there.

. Hello and thank you for your comments. Great to know you enjoyed your stay with us. We will mention your experience regarding getting approached on the sidewalk. Our security works on moving them along, Like most cities this does sometimes happen. There are dozens of great restaurants to choose from. So glad that you ventured out in the area to experience all that there is to enjoy in our beautiful neighborhood known as the Central West End. Have a great week and we hope you will think of staying at the Parkway on your next trip to STL.

Nice Play to Stay

Posted Jul 10, 2017
Pros: It was very clean, the rooms were nice and it was very close to many different things. I liked that there was the restaurant right on the premises.
Cons: The only flaw I would say was having to go outside to get to the parking garage. Other than that, I didn't find anything.
My daughter and I stayed her for the night and I have to say, not only was the hotel very nice the staff was as well. I thought they went above and beyond to welcome us and make sure that our stay was a comfortable one. Thank you very much for that

Hello and thank you for your positive comments Its great to know when we have met the expectations of our guests. For the garage, you could walk directly across from our elevators to exit out our back door. This exit is on the first floor of the garage, therefore no need to go outside. Have a fantastic summer and we look forward to having you stay with us again. There are so many fun STL attractions within 3 miles or less from the Parkway you will need to visit STL several times to get to enjoy all that our beautiful area has to offer.

Nice hotel close to hospital

Posted Jul 4, 2017
Good service just the hospital is under construction and the access is not easy, and the check in is too late 4:00 pm I don't like it.

Hello and thank you for your feedback. I am only assuming you mean not easy access to the hospital. There is not an issue with accessing the Parkway Hotel. For our guests that arrive before 4pm just stop by our front desk and if there is a guestroom clean and available for check in before 4pm our staff is more than happy to accommodate and let you check in early. Check out time is noon and we do need to wait for our guests to check out and begin our cleaning and inspection process. Enjoy your summer!

Close to children's hospital

Posted Jul 3, 2017
Well I booked a king size bed but got to motel and was sent to two doubles then sent to a accessible room? Aka handicapped room it smelled and the had three deodorizer machines in the room which wasn't helping. Very little contact with staff so it was ok. Think price was little high but holiday weekend??

Thank you for your feedback and the 4 Stars. The Parkway Hotel and the entire area was busy with the Holiday weekend as you mentioned. When the hotel is at capacity we do need to utilize our accessible rooms. As I’m sure you notice the hotel is looking beautiful, we had a full renovation and everything is modern, sleek and upscale. Not sure about the deodorizer you have mentioned. Hope you had a safe trip home. Enjoy the weekend.

Thin Walls, Good Staff

Posted Jun 6, 2017
Location: Barnes Jewish Hospital/Washington University Med School complex, also the very nice Central West End area and Forest Park
Nice hotel, good amenities. Had trouble with neighbor playing TV too loud. Hotel staff reacted well and worked to fix the problem, but would have been better if the walls were thicker.

Great accomodations close to where we needed to be

Posted Jun 4, 2017
The hotel itself was great. Upon arrival they could not find our reservation luckily I had my Expedia info. The guy then had to go into the back room to try to locate it. This was where things got wierd and awkward because it took a very long time and the other clerk provided no eye contact or conversation . They did locate us and all was well. Trouble getting into the parking lot and I heard other guests tell the front desk. Gate would not open but once help was pushed gate opened. Once in the room I have to say it was great. Quiet , clean, and very comfortable. I cannot comment on breakfast as we did not make it down. Applebees connected next door was good food and great service for lunch despite reviews that say otherwise. Check out staff was also helpful and friendly - not awkward like the pm staff

Takes the edge off visiting sick relatives...

Posted Jun 4, 2017
...I only stayed 3 nights. But it was peaceful. Including a weekend. Plenty of artisan eateries right across the street. Yummy. Instant access to walkway link to Barnes Jewish hospital system. No need to unload bags at checkin if you park on level one. Your room key gets you access to the elevators via the skywalk. The only oddity: slow response to get hot water (I was on 6th floor) but it certainly was hot!

Very nice family hotel, close to Barnes

Posted May 31, 2017
Pros: The staff is always friendly. It is clean and provides for all of your needs.
Cons: As a smoker, wish there were smoking rooms available.
Location: Great place to stay if there for medical appointments.
A very nice family hotel especially if using services of Barnes Jewish Hospital, Children's Hospital, Washington Medical School. Shuttle provided for transportation to medical appointments. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the morning is very good. Accomodations are clean and meet your needs. We have stayed there several times when our daughter has an appointment. Within walking distance for a variety of dining pleasures. Applebees is in the hotel.

Hello and thank you for taking the time to review the Parkway Hotel. Good to know you are enjoying our complimentary amenities during your stay with us and our friendly staff. Regarding Smoking, several years back there was an ordinance put in place by the city that bans smoking in most buildings. Our smoking visitors normally walk out our front door to smoke as they enjoy the hustle bustle of the beautiful Central West End neighborhood. Enjoy your summer and we hope you and your family are having a pleasant day.

Nice hotel centrally located.

Posted May 29, 2017
Pros: Location, price was moderate. Staff and facilities were great. Hot breakfast was good. Having restaurant on premises a nice touch.
Cons: Need garage access from the lobby or an elevator to room floors. Check-in access is difficult when lots of people checking in.
Location: Great things to do in the area. Zoo, Science Museum, Cathedral Basilica, lots more
Birthday weekend to visit St. Louis Zoo, and surrounding activities. Thanks for the shuttle to the zoo. We had some difficulty getting back from the zoo. The one shuttle was in use and not available for our return. Cab took a long time to find us.
