Slice of Paradise...

Posted Mar 29, 2017
Pros: The pool, the room, the gardens, the staff, and the overall view into the Sea is incredible. Location wasn't bad. Beach was great too.
Cons: Stronger WIFI and better TV service in the rooms.
Location: Rodney bay is a few minutes north with PLENTY of places to eat and drink. And pigeon Island is about 20 minutes north also.
This resort is fantastic. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, the rooms were great, the pool was EXCELLENT. And the beach was also very comfortable, although not crystal clear water like elsewhere on the island. But they have kayaks/paddle boards there for free. Everyone we met that was staying there was very friendly, mostly older retired couples. But very fun people none the less. A few times during the week I actually found myself in the pool alone watching the sunset which is even better as it sounds. The ground and gardens are meticulous, and the food is outstanding. Any meal we had was great. Honestly the only non perfect things about this place would be a very weak wifi signal in the room (i had trouble viewing websites/email for work) and the television signal was also pretty weak/fuzzy. Also if you are a light sleeper, you will hear the noise upstairs of the hotel kitchen/staff getting ready around 6am. And also the road leading to the resort from the main road it TERRIBLE, but still traversable obviously.

Amazing hotel and staff

Posted Feb 4, 2017
First of all I just want to thank you to the calabash Cove staff. The level of service was excellent! Everyone at calabash Cove resort was warm, kind, and beyond professional. And I must say the island sense of humor is like none other. I can't wait to see all you again soon! The resort is positioned in the mountains side to provide breath taking views! The private beach is gorgeous!!! We were fortunate enough to stay in one the cottages (small house) just a few steps from the beach and its own infinity pool and wrap around porch! AMAZING!!! The restaurant is gorgeous and the food and service is 5 star all around -with live entertainment every night. I can't say enough about this place! We wished we never had to leave.

The place to go for a quiet, intimate vacation.

Posted Jan 22, 2017 on Hotels
With only 27 rooms, Calabash Cove is a place for a relaxed, quiet, luxury stay in the Caribbean. We stayed in one of the gingerbread cottage suites on the sea which had a wonderful deck with plunge pool. Could not have been nicer. The service was terrific with a well trained staff who were attentive to all our requests. Managed by a French chef, Theiry, the food was also very good with new specials every day. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing vacation in the Caribbean, I know of few places which are of the same caliber is Calabash. My wife and I are looking forward to going back.

Great Romantic Getaway!

Posted Dec 27, 2016
Pros: Beautiful location, hotel staff is the best (They need raises), room was very clean, private pool, and private beach.
Cons: I would say the comfort of the mattresses. My wife and I stayed at Calabash for a week, and after a few days we got a little restless.
Location: Talk to the hotel concierge about activities. Pick an excursion, only one, after that tour the island. Taxi drivers can point you to the best places.
This resort is an oasis in the most unlikely location. From the path traveling to Calabash, you would never guess that such a wonderful place is on the other end. It's like finding a lost kingdom. You can't beat the view, and if you stay, choose the water cottage. The experience isn't complete unless you stay in one of the water cottages. Be prepared for the stairs though; there are no elevators.

We love our Water's Edge Cottages....so glad you loved yours, too! Was the mattress too soft, too hard?? We've just had them all replaced so your comments are appreciated. Come back and try them again!

Luxury boutique hotel located next to the beach

Posted Dec 13, 2016
Pros: Staff and location.
Location: 15-20 minute drive from everything up north (Castries/Rodney Bay/Gros Islet)
This could not have been a better experience. They upgraded our room to an infinity pool to start with, and then everyone was very accommodating following that. The staff could not have been nicer, and catered to our every need. They scheduled everything for us, and the pool was wonderful. We even got a massage at one point in the hotel. It was just secluded enough to feel private, but not removed from everything. I couldn't recommend this place highly enough.

The people were wonderful - so friendly and helpful. The spa was fabulous. The views were spectacular. The website pictures don't do it justice. I wanted to have a relaxing vacation with my sister and this was perfect!

Secluded resort very close to the beach.

We chose calabash cove resort for our honeymoon and stayed in one of their Oceanside cottages. It was exactly what we were looking for. It is a small and secluded resort with beautiful views of the ocean, friendly staff and excellent accommodations. We sprang for the all inclusive package which made it difficult to leave because the food, beverages and staff were excellent. We highly recommend this resort to anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Best Honeymoon!

Posted Dec 3, 2016
I just got back last night from a wonderful trip to St. Lucia. After weeks of researching I finally took a chance and booked our honeymoon at Calabash Cove Resort and Spa. My husband agrees, it was such an amazing experience. We were treated with such care and great hospitality. They knew it was our honeymoon and upgraded us from a pool suite to a cottage suite in front of the ocean. OMG! This was the most peaceful vacation I have ever been on (and I lived in the Caribbean years ago). We had a romantic dinner on the pier and a couples massage on our last night. While we went out for our last dinner the lovely ladies who took good care of us decorated our suite with flower petals, prepared the jacuzzi with bubbles and candles, left a plate of desserts, and a bottle of champagne. What a great surprise! The food was incredible, there was not one thing I disliked. I think I gained 5 lbs. but it was worth it. One morning my husband asked for mango juice which wasn't even on the menu and the waiter made it happen. We even paid for a private tour of the island. If you want to avoid the crowds, make sure to ask for Francis. This man knows the island inside and out and is a great tour guide. Too many people to mention by names, but again Thank you Calabash for making our stay a wonderful memory.
