Beautiful small hotel with nice pool and gardens across the road from the beach and 5 mins walk to great restaurants. I am very happy we stayed there because it felt like the most relaxing place in the area and it was very pretty. Each room has a balcony or patio and there are a lot of loungers around the pool. The room was spacious and pleasant, and the bathroom was big and airy. Only improvement would be the mattresses were a bit saggy....think it might be time to replace them.
Continental Breakfast was included but sadly for an area of amazing abundant fruits we were given canned juice and wonderbread toast so that was disappointing but no worries because it was a short walk down to the town for amazing smoothies, juices and pastries. There are great restaurants all around.

I cannot recommend this hotel enough - it was the best I've experienced in the Caribbean. Boucan has exquisite views of the St Lucian pitons, and it also has its own boats to take you out on the water or to the beach, which we really appreciated. It doesn't have walking access to a beach - you have to get the hotel transport there, by car and then by boat - but you will travel in style, I assure you.
The accommodation was more than comfortable - on arrival, it felt to me as if they'd thought of everything the modern English traveller could want (en suite bathroom stocked with rainfall shower and individual sinks, teabags!!!!, teapot, kettle, mosquito nets surrounding the bed, three-pin electronic sockets, free wifi throughout the estate, sofa... the list goes on.) The bed was soooo comfortable too.
What made our holiday exceptional was the hospitality we experienced by the staff - from the management (who made themselves known to us unprompted, just to ensure that we were having a good time, which we definitely were!) to the kitchen, bar and cleaning staff and the concierge. Everyone we encountered was warm, friendly and eager to listen, help and talk to us. Thank you to all of the staff for making our trip so special. We hope to be visiting again!

We had a lovely stay at the Ladera. We were in one of the oldest rooms of the hotel, built in the 70s but it was well maintained and when you stay at the Ladera, the rooms are not the focus - it really does have a million dollar view. Right between the pitons, the view of the mountains and the ocean is spectacular. Close to the beach and prime location for doing some great hiking!
Be aware that it is pretty much "glamping". No AC, and ear plugs are 100% necessary for sleeping as the animal/insect noise is really loud at night. That being said, we slept without the bug nets and didn't get a single bite or see any creepy crawlies in our bed at all.
The hotel staff was extremely helpful and kind- everything we requested was arranged promptly.
Dasheene (restaurant) was fine - closer to mediocre than fine dining - definitely not worth the expensive price tag. Breakfast was good but we were really glad we didn't get the all inclusive package! Instead, we chose to eat in Soufriere a few times at a local bbq snack bar and we LOVED Boucan at Hotel Chocolat (which is right across the road from Ladera, easily walkable, and worth the $$$)

Having your own cottage a few steps from an amazing beach is a rare thing in this age of mega resorts. No steel drum bands, restaurants, or nightclubs at this property, but there is plenty of that nearby. A rental car or taxi is definitely needed. The staff is incredibly helpful and will go the extra mile to get you whatever you need. Even the owner meets with each guest with a very helpful introduction to St. Lucia and what you might like to do. This property and location is a gem. I hope it never changes.

Lovely high end condos. Every amenity of home is available such as washer dryer, dish washer, kitchen ware, beach toys, beach/water sports activities and kids club. Food was above average and not very expensive. Hotel staff was very helpful. Only complaint was the butlers for other guests would hold beach chairs by 630 am and the particular guests may never actually show up to the beach till the afternoon or not at all. I actually got into a fight with a hotel Butler who took the towels that I placed on empty chairs and claimed them for her own. She fought with me for a few minutes until I threatened to call management and then she became insincerely apologetic. All other staff were kind and very helpful and what you would expect at an expensive place like this. I do hope though they change this policy of butlers reserving too many chairs unnecessarily. I would though stay here again without hesitation.

My girlfriend and I spent 4 nights here and it was wonderful. The open air rooms with built in swimming pools and extraordinary views coupled with outstanding, attentive butler service made leaving the room, other than for dinner, the gym, or the spa moot. I highly suggest the helicopter service on the way in, it effectively gave us another full day.

Anse Chastenet is close to perfect. Remote, private, and picturesque, it is a far cry from many Caribbean resorts that are crowded and chaotic. The staff is superb. Your happiness if their primary concern and everyone goes above and beyond to make your day perfect. Day trips and excursions are arranged with a smile. Dining is easy and the meals delicious. The beach is lovely with just enough to do. The on-site scuba shop provided by 12-year-old son with a first-rate first scuba experience; the sunset sail was gorgeous. I traveled with my three older children (12, 15, 17) and our beachside room was spacious and welcoming. We will definitely return!
