Beautiful resort, not worth the money

Posted Aug 25, 2015
Location: On site there were the included activities of kayaking, windsurfing, snorkeling etc. Right off site there were options to jet ski & hiking available.
I had a great experience at the hotel, the staff were all so friendly. The rooms were beautiful and always clean and neat. Some restaurants needed reservations and had dress codes. The food was good overall in the restaurants and quick "fast food"/snack areas. I had no issues at all with the resort, I just personally don't think I need to pay as much money as I did when I would be able to get the same service and quality from another all-inlcusive resort.

Good location, Average food, Unfriendly staff

Posted Jul 21, 2015
1. Welcome- Kudos to Melissa at the reception desk for a warm welcome and efficient service 2. Room- Good size, extremely clean. The single shower door posed a problem of an extremely wet floor after showering. The tv was average with none of the channels being in high definition. 3. Grounds- Lovely, clean, well kept and nicely laid out. It was easy to walk to any location. There are hammocks, fire pits (two of which are on the water) and nice pools and nice beach. 4. Pools/Beach- There are busy pools and quiet ones take your pick. The beach was very calm and easy to swim in. 5. Bars and drinks were good but I didn't find the staff very friendly or nice to me. 6. Restaurants were average. There wasn't enough local food on offer for my liking. The service was mostly average but again servers seldom made me feel welcome except at the British pub where the waitresses were fabulous. 7. Water sports- Very good variety. Staff again here not very friendly at all. 8. Conclusion- A good place for a quiet or lively holiday. There are a lot of options while in the resort to suit all needs. Staff needs to be a much friendlier. After all when people are on holiday and after spending hard earned money to get away we all want to feel welcomed.

Pros: Everything
I was in the hospitality business for years and I was so impressed by the operation of this facility. Sandals Grande St Lucia, has everything to have a wonderful vacation. The staff was attentive, kind and helpful. Any request I had was answered with swiftness and a smile. Great Vacation.. I totally would go back!

Dream honeymoon place.

Posted Mar 15, 2015
Pros: Everything.
Cons: A bit more serving on the food.
Location: Perfect!
With the delayed flt for a day, they gave us an extra day for it. Upon arrival, everything was set accordingly. The room was just perfect for us. The service was pure excellence. The staff made us very welcome and we simply love them. Our honeymoon was made in heaven :)

Great hotel and experience at the Sandals Grande!

Posted Feb 19, 2015
Pros: Staff and the food
Cons: It was hard to make reservations at the nicer restaurants.
Location: JJ's speedboat tour was AWESOME! Avoid the 4-hour jeep tour - it was lame.
My husband and I stayed at the Sandals Grande for our honeymoon and it was really wonderful. The hotel was beautiful, but not the biggest of the Sandals resorts. All of the staff members were so helpful and nice - they offered great customer service. Our room was the second floor, facing the pools/beach, which was a nice room and it was quiet at night. The only restaurant we couldn't go to was Gordon's because they were fully booked a week in advance so I recommend you make reservations before you get to Sandals. The Grande had a lot of activities during the day.

Can't say enough positive things

Posted Feb 16, 2015
If you're on the fence about staying there, don't hesitate. It is as perfect as a vacation can be. The resort is clean, staff is nice; they are on top of everything. The view of the horizon from the beach, which was about 100 yards from our room, is incredible. Mountains on the both sides, boats in the water, sunsets every night. Unreal. My wife and I don't want a loud, non stop adventure in our resort vacations. It's a perfect place to relax and unwind, and fall in love again. And if u like adventure, there are the typical excursions available, plus a mountain hike right off the resort. Weather was 90 and sunny everyday, not much wind, and it rained for about 3 hours one morning. i could go on awhile, but simply just go. You wont regret it

Staff, grounds, food....all excellent!

Posted Feb 9, 2015
This was our honeymoon trip and I couldn't have asked for any better! There is a drive from the airport to the resort but as soon as you get there you are greeted with a cool wet towel that smells amazing and given a glass of champagne as the friendly staff handles your check in while you wait at tables. I cannot say how nice the people from St Lucia are and how accommodating the staff is. They make sure you are having a great time and have everything you need! I hope to go back one day. The beach is beautiful, a bit of rough sand as you go into the water but thats no big deal at all. The food was delicious and the grounds were maintained so well and just gorgeous. Highly recommend this resort!

Fantastic hotel

If you're looking for relaxation, plenty to do, fantastic food (seafood is amazing), an incredible beach, a perfect weather, one of the best beaches in St. Lucia, just don't miss it. IMHO, it is also the best Sandals in the island.
