We had a very relaxing time at Smugglers Cove. Everyone was friendly and made us feel welcome. It was a little chaotic when we arrived, but there were many people arriving at the same time. The hotel is at the north end of the island and is about a 90 minute drive from the airport, so expect to pay about $90 - 100 US each trip. But the taxi ride to and from the airport was similar to taking a tour of the island, so we enjoyed it. The taxi drivers gave us a lot of information about the island and stopped to let us take pictures. We were able to see parts of the atlantic, carribean, and rain forest areas of the island. If you get motion sickness, be aware that the ride to/from the airport has many windy roads. The buffet food at the Cove restaurant was delicious. There was plenty of food for everyone with many choices and did not have to wait for a table. To eat dinner at the other restaurants at the hotel requires a higher dress code than shorts and flip flops, so if you intend to make a reservation at one of the other restaurants, bring nicer clothes (long pants for men with a collared shirt). We were not aware of the dress code prior to our stay there and didn't bring the right clothes, so didn't get to take advantage of the other restaurants. The snorkeling was fun and were able to see sea snakes, lobster, fish, crabs, and an eel. We also enjoyed the kayaking. The entertainment in the evenings was nice.
