Absolutely stunning and beautiful

Posted Jan 1, 2016 on Hotels
This place was absolutely beautiful and reasonable. each villa has a private pool, plus a pool for everyone to enjoy. We never saw anyone at the open pool, why would you? however, the view was incredible from the public pool. We travel all over the world and this was by far the most beautiful relaxing place we have stayed (outside of the Four Seasons Bora Bora) ($1500.00 per night) VS. $440 per night at Stonefield. Kitchenettes were great. We rented a car, you need one here. Spotless inside and out, comfortable beds, We will go back. Also, by far way nicer then JADE MOUNTAIN where are friends were spending $2100.00 per night. Cannot wait to return.

Secluded honeymooners

The villa is basically just like the photos, and so is the view ! Staff was super friendly and very accommodating. There isn't much to do at this rescort so if You're looking to get away from everything and do absolutely nothing, then this is the place for you. But if you enjoy meeting other travelors and having some entertainment, then this isn't really the place for you. Overall good Experience !

Private villas with your own pool.

Posted Nov 22, 2015
Pros: Everything
Cons: If you have a cat allergy, don't go. They are not in the rooms but on the ground. Cute cats but I am highly allergic and had to leave the resort early
Location: Sugar Beach, zip lining, sulfur springs, snorkeling, scuba diving.
Breath taking views. Nice place and the staff is excellent. Very nice villas. The view is enough to stay there but the nice villas and staff is icing on the cake.

Hi Sharon, we are sorry to hear about your cat allergy. Cats are not allowed in our villas or any of our resort buildings--however, you will occasionally find them roaming around the resort. Most of our guests find this to be a wonderful surprise. We're glad to hear that the rest of your stay was wonderful and that you enjoyed the views and local activities. We will pass your compliments on to our staff. Hope to see you again!

Amazing location!

Posted Sep 13, 2015
The villas were absolutely amazing and comfortable. However, the matinence staff was very slow and never even fixed most of the problems the room had. Other than that the restaraunt food was delicious and staff was fun/polite. Warning, the bugs are crazy and you will end up with some bites but bring citronella and you will be golden :)

Great to hear you had an amazing time! Our apologies for any service delays. On future visits, please don't hesitate to let management know if your concerns aren't being dealt with in a timely manner. This being the rainforest, insects are a reality, but we do our best to minimize their presence

Very secluded, beautiful setting.

Pros: Views! Villa with private pool! NO kids!!!! Do not miss the sunsets.
Cons: Some facilities look a bit old, but it is a rustic hotel, so I guess it's okay.
Location: Climbing, scuba diving, sailing, visits to the rain forest, all sorts of tours.
The location could not be better, the views are amazing. You have your own pool with incredible views. Drawback: there's only one restaurant and access to the Beach is through nearby Sugar Beach Resort (Stonefield provides 3 shuttles a day, free of charge, and Sugar Beach is awesome, you can scuba dive, snorkel, kayak, sail, etc.) You have to take taxis to move around or rent a car. Be mindful they drive on the opposite side and the roads are very narrow and winding, people walk on the shoulders and there are animals roaming free.

Hi Gabby, Thanks for taking the time to share your experience. The views from our resort are indeed amazing, owing to the fact that we're located on a hillside. It’s a wonderfully secluded location, but, as you point out, it means that you’ll have to hop on a shuttle to visit the beach or explore town. Thankfully, onsite dining at Mango Tree Restaurant is, in our humble opinion, nothing short of spectacular, so you won’t have to go very far for great food and drinks. We appreciate your advice about being careful when driving in St. Lucia, especially if you’re used to North American roads. We hope to see you again for your next Caribbean vacation!

We had a great time. Great view and very relaxing. Food can be better, but neighboring hotels have great restaurants.

Great to hear that you were able to relax, enjoy the view and have a great time. We take great pride in the food served at our Mango Tree Restaurant, which features daily menus based on locally-sourced and homegrown ingredients. We never like hearing about less than stellar culinary experiences, and hope to do better on your next visit. You’re right when you say that this part of St. Lucia has no shortage of amazing restaurants!

Rustic Hotel not Resort

Posted May 30, 2015
I consider my experience average. I consider this a hotel not a resort. Not many options nor comforts. It is very rudtic and outdoors. Would recommend to adventurers that want to feel one with nature.

Hi J, much of what you’ve said is correct: our theme at Stonefield is ‘rustic chic’ and our resort experience is all about connecting with nature in the St. Lucian rainforest. We try to foster a sense of peace and serenity here, free from the usual distractions of everyday life. That said, our accommodations and amenities are nothing short of first-class. We encourage any potential guests to research our resort prior to booking to get a clear sense of what Stonefield has to offer.
