Good beach, private, clean. Better to know in advance how transportation works in St. Maarten. Taxi cost was very high for family.

OBBR has a variety of great features at the resort, but also restaurants and activities nearby.

Relaxing resort away from St. Martin traffic

Pros: The ease of walking down to Dawn Beach and relaxing there for hours. It was very windy during our visit, and the beach got very little debris.
Cons: There was confusion upon arrival at the hotel with the "welcome package" which was half normal hotel information and half time share info.
Location: A little isolated from touring around. You need a car in my opinion.
Overall very good experience. The layout is very pleasing for meandering around. The resort has a cozy, welcoming feel. Not too fancy. Just right.

Wonderful clean hotel.

Oyster bay was a great family resort . The food was wonderful, rooms were clean. The mattress was not comfortable and the location was very secluded and a lot of money in taxis! Definitely need a car!! We had a great experience and I would recommend it to any friends!

Great Vacation

Pros: Location, staff, beach.
Cons: Taxi service could have been more reliable.
Location: Shopping wasn't that far away. Plenty of places to eat nearby as well as others just a taxi ride away.
Nice hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Everyone went out of their way to ensure our comfort and enjoyment.

Location: Not much nearby.
Staff very friendly, had a wonderful dinner at Infinity restaurant.

Disappointing

The outside looks good but the rooms are disappointing. The shower is prefab and small, linen was cheap as were room amenities. Pool was good. Wont go back.

Decent snorkeling

This hotel has a small but nice beach where the snorkeling is pretty good. There are a lot of nice restaurants close by. Very friendly atmosphere as well. We stayed in a "hotel" room which was a little small but was fine for the 10 days we were there.

Nice and affordable beach resort

Pros: Everything! Steps away from the beach, quiet, clean, well maintained grounds, safe. Staff very friendly and ready to help.
Cons: I would suggest to increase the water pressure for the shower and to install a hand held shower in the cabin.
Location: Amazing location! Walking distance to Mr. Busby's restaurant and a Pier Grocer for your basic needs. With a car, you can easily visit the rest.
The resort is situated at the north end of Dawn Beach, steps from white sand and clear blue/turquoise water. The compound is very well maintained, and is very quiet (we've only seen mature and senior couples, no noisy kids running around or party goers). After dark, it seems that everyone retires in their rooms to watch TV. The room we had (#2130) was very simple, but very well appointed: large oceanfront studio with kitchenette and breathtaking views of the Oyster Bay. We were extremely surprised how fully equipped the kitchenette was! The only thing missing was an oven, in rest it had everything (including dishwasher and big fridge with ice maker in the freezer). Plenty of pots and pans, cutlery, dinnerware, detergent etc.; we were very pleased! And the tap water is safe to drink! On the negative side, there were a few things: the water pressure was very low, and you had to wait a long time for it to run warm and/or hot. The shower lacked a hand shower - very difficult to properly wash your body, especially with the pressure so low. And this is surprising considering the island is practically "European". Also, Wi-Fi in the room is only available if you purchase a daily or weekly package from a third party. We ended up buying a weekly pass but we had problems in the first 24 hours with a glitch in the system. However, we addressed the issue with the front desk and it was resolved. Get a car! The location gives you plenty of choices to visit the island. We'd go back anytime!
