This was our first bed amd breakfast and it did not disappoint. A surprise trip for my wife definitely resulted in us planning our next trip there. The host were so welcoming and accommodating, not to mentioned the breakfast we had there was absolutely amazing.
The innkeeper was more than accommodating in welcoming, offering various rooms, orienting us, recommending restaurants, not to mention the delicious breakfast she prepared. Thank you Shelley!
Shelley was an amazing host - went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. The property is perfectly situated to walk around St. Michael's or ride their bikes like we did, without being smack dab in the middle of the hubbub.
Like all of St. Michael's, it is pricey for what you get but that is understood when you book. It is time for a facelift in the rooms but being in this business too - we understand that it is hard to find time to do that when you are as obviously as busy as they are.
Loved the BnB experience of sitting around the breakfast table meeting and talking to the other guests. Always a treat.
Quaint historic property located near everything you would want to see. It comes with its own bikes so you can ride the bike trail nearby. Breakfast was delish. Only concern is that the shades didn't completely cover the windows in our room and bathroom, so we had to drape a towel over them.

Thank you for your review! We feature Breezer 8 speed touring bikes - high quality with comfortable handle bar and wide seats - perfect for most of us average bike riders! Our historic inn has beautiful wood blinds - they provide excellent privacy although the sides allow some light in at an angle - no one outside could see into the room.

Of course this is a disappointing score and we can only hope that future guests will question it and realize it is out of line as we pride ourselves in the very best guest service, food, and anticipation of your needs. The property is freshly painted with new beds and linens. Guests are provided with my cell phone number and asked to let me know if they are uncomfortable or have needs that I can take care of while they are at the Parsonage. A review score without any feedback is impossible to address and I did not hear from the guest while they were here.
Location provides walking access to many sites, parking was extremely easy and located behind the property, outstanding nearby restaurants, quiet, and historic location.

Thanks so much for noting our great location! We love that you can hit every restaurant, shop and attraction from our beautiful inn. Please come again!
Liked: Manager Liz was amazing- very gracious, made us feel welcome. Amazing chef- our breakfast was superb!
Disliked: We were in Room 1 on ground floor- facing the street. Room was very cozy and bed was great, but room was noisy from street traffic all day and night. Shower was ok but room and bathroom showed their age- many missing tiles in bathroom. Fireplace was great.
If we return we will ask for a room upstairs not facing the busy street.
Don’t waste your money there are plenty of other options in this town.
Not sure why this place got such good reviews.
The property was run down and dirty with peeling paint and wall paper. There was no air conditioning and it was hot and stuffy. The breakfast area was cramped and uninviting. (Definitely not COVID safe) The table outside our room on the patio had an old bottle of weed killer on it the whole time we were there. There was really no hospitality other than some phone calls. We were directed to go up the stairs to our room by the only person we spoke to and she didn’t tell us the stairs were outside! The stairs were rickety and looked to be about to fall down. The property outside had storage areas under the stairs that were full of junk and the closet in our room was full of stuff too. Not sure why? Not enough space ? We were supposed to have an additional bunk room according to Expedia and the management told us that would be 40$ extra. Needless to say we did not partake of the “breakfast.” One day they were kind enough to provide a continental breakfast but it was 4 tiny scones? that looked inedible. When I did go in the main house there was someone in the dining room eating -this felt like I was in someone else’s home instead of a bed and breakfast. Very strange. The one good thing is they had bottled water to refill our water bottles and bags of ice. Their idea of cookies awaiting you when you arrive was sad and pitiful. Not anything that I expected.
Mother & Daughter were very nice! Breakfast was delicious!

The host Anna was first-rate for customer service and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. Excellent breakfasts also. Sadly, the facilities are a bit worn and outdated. It wouldn't take much to improve worn furnishings. Havi g said that, we thorouhly enjoyed our stay.
We stayed here for the sea glass festival and it was great! The location is great to get to anything in town. The inn keeper was awesome as well. No complaints!
Ana the Innkeeper was very friendly and an excellent cook. If we ever stay again, we will request a room on the back side of the Parsonage Inn because the front room has traffic noise at night. Overall a pleasant stay.
Anna is the innkeeper and is a gem. She made the stay so comfortable and easy for us and we’ll go back for sure. The location is perfect and service incredible.
The Inn has a great location. The room was very large and comfortable (King sized bed!). There was coffee available 24/7 and there was even a fresh-baked cake when we arrived. The breakfast and fresh hot coffee were scrumptious. Julia gave us some tips on eating (Limoncello is worth every penny) and touring the town. Only comment that isn’t entirely positive is that it was almost too warm at night, which may be a positive to others. I grew up in a Victorian home, so I know heating well is tough to do.😀
Overall, a great bed and breakfast.

Thank you "Anonymous" - glad we exceeded your expectations in most respects! As an old house, we have four zones or heat pumps - temp is set to 72F in a zone but temp can vary somewhat between rooms. Some like it warmer - some like it colder - some like it "just right" - kinda like the tale of Goldilocks! Julia loves to "wow you" at breakfast and pointing you in the right direction for restaurants, etc. Hope to see you again - Will Workman, Owner
The staff was so friendly and the building, decor and furniture were high quality. I'd love to go back!

Thank you for posting a review. Our Inn dates back to 1883 when the owner, Henry Clay Dodson, decided to build a showplace for brick constructions. Henry Clay had established the "St. Michaels brickyard back in 1877 following two devastating fires in August of 1870 and August of 1872 that destroyed over half of the town's buildings. We try to keep the decor and presentation of our inn to reflect the Victorian era with excellent customer service.

Sorry you were not completely satisfied. It is an old house with limitations (size of rooms, etc.) - but we don't know what to improve based on your comments.
The building itself was gorgeous inside and out. It felt like you were time traveling to the Victorian era. There is an illusion sighting of a woman in white spirit. I didn’t see her but I felt her presence. The inn owner is hospitable and full of information. He gave great tips on where to eat and what to check out in town. Overall fantastic experience and I will recommend this inn to everyone I know.

This guest loved the history and unique architecture of this circa 1883 brick Victorian. She was intrigued by the reported sighting of a woman in a white dress at the top of the stairs close to her room. We take special care of the new visitors to our town to acquaint them with the restaurants and other attractions.

Overall had a very pleasant stay here. The room was traditional, clean and comfortable. Staff was very nice, breakfast tasty, and I felt very covid safe. However, the grounds and outside of the hotel could have been maintained and cleaned up better from leaves and debris.
Facility is in much needed of an overhaul.Furnishings were won and of poor quality
Innkeeper was very helpful and fixed wonderful breakfasts, but that was the only positive. Many rooms are small and those facing the street are very nosy
Visited St Michael's on an anniversary trip. Inn was very clean and bed was very comfortable. The staff was friendly and very helpful with suggestions for things to do and restaurant recommendations. I would stay here again.
