Wonderful, stylish and friendly hotel. Love all the pine wood and the design that manages to be both modern and traditional at the same time. Terrific breakfasts, possibly the best we had in Switzerland (which is saying something). Delicious dinners in the intimate wine bar; wish we could have further explored the huge book of available wine. We chose Samedan somewhat randomly (didn't want to stay in St Moritz and needed to be on both the Glacier and Bernina Express lines) and ended up really loving the area. Don't miss the mineral spa. We might have shrugged it off - don't do that, it's such a nice and special place. We should have gone more than once! One last perk of the hotel that came in very handy was the regional transport card which saved us a lot, especially on gondolas and lifts in the area. Wish we could have stayed longer! Hope to come back someday.

Lovely hotel, well situated. Nice to be able to use public transport for free and also have free access to the Samedan spa. Very nice breakfast

Lovely family run hotel. Nice breakfast. Large comforable rooms. Free entry in the fabulous thermsl spa that isvonly 150 metres away. I would definitively stay again.

Fabulous stay
We had an amazing time at this hotel. Everything was excellent!! We ate at the restaurant and wine bar the 3 of the 4 nights we were there, the food and service at both were excellent. I would highly recommend this place. The spa that you have access to is amazing, perfect way to end the day. We were traveling with our 5 year old son and he did not want to leave this hotel. Our family travels a lot and this was one of our favourite hotel stays. You do have to take the bus to get to the ski hill but this really wasn't a problem, you catch the bus right in front of the hotel and it's only a 10 min ride into St. Moritz. We were very happy we booked this over staying right in St. Moritz. Wonderful hotel

Happy stay!
The room was spacious for three of us, clean and quiet. The stuff was friendly and the service was good. Food was excellent. We love this hotel, and will definitely stay here again when we come back next time.

Incredibly professional, courteous service!!
This hotel is off the beaten path for those going to St. Moritz - but is an absolute gem. I think it's deserving of 4+ stars. The attached restaurant is out of this world but ensure you make a reservation! We will definitely be back here again soon!

Very suitable for visiting the area
Hotel was very nice,the rooms were of good quality, the restaurant was good, the food was of a high standard and all the staff very pleasant, There was a bar below the hotel (which was part of the hotel) was very handy after a long drive. The hotel was very handy as a stop off, but would be suitable for a longer stay

The service is very nice and polite. The owners are lovely and helpful. The voucher to the spa nearby (Allegra) is very good since the spa is magnificent. The room was large, clean, with plenty of space for cloths. The breakfast was very good. The restaurant of the hotel is really good for dinner.

Rundum tolle Unterkunft. Kleines Hotel mit allem was man braucht. Die Zimmer sind gross, sehr gemütlich und sauber, tolle Betten und Bettwäsche. Der Service ist zuvorkommend, freundlich und hilfsbereit (bsp Wasserkocher aufs Zimmer). Frühstück in einem sehr schönen Raum mit allem was man braucht und sehr freundlichen Service. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Hotel bastante confortável. Funcionários da recepção muito atenciosos e cordiais. Localizado bem próximo à estação do trem e pontos de ônibus. Hotel oferece transporte público gratuito. Não utilizamos o SPA porque não levamos roupa de banho. Foi uma pena.

Ankommen, wohlfühlen und geniessen!
Obwohl wir oft im Engadin sind, waren wir bisher noch nie im Hotel Donatz. Aber dies wird sich ändern, denn wir waren restlos zufrieden vom Hotel, dem tollen Restaurant, der Weinbar und der Gastfreundschaft!

Schön aber Parkplatzproblem
Schön aber grosses Parkplatzproblem Hotel hat sehr wenig eigene Parkmöglichkeiten. Und in der Umgebung hat es auch kaum freie Plätze. Mussten 10 Min zu Fuss einen öffentlichen belegen, was auch hiess am Morgen vor dem Frühstück nochmals einzuwerfen. Sehr mühsam.

Situato sulla strada principale di Samedan, a poche decine di metri dalla cattedrale e dal municipio, è davvero comodo per una visita a piedi del centro storico. Purtroppo sono limitati i posti gratuiti di parcheggio auto, e non è facile trovarne uno libero (garage dell'albergo a pagamento per 25 Chf al giorno). Ottima l'accoglienza: anche se la lingua madre è il tedesco, quasi tutti i dipendenti masticano l'italiano. Molto disponibile la reception a sistemare per il Wifi il mio telefono. Ottimo confort della camera, servizio adeguato (anche se noi italiani vedremmo volentieri un bidè...); eccellente colazione compresa nel prezzo; ristorante "La Padella" al piano terra, con prezzi piuttosto alti. Personale squisito.

Hotel très soigné
Chambres plutôt stylées, lits comme des nuages, acceuil très chaleureux, petit déjeuner excellent (pains et produits locaux). Entrée dans le spa de Samedan et transports dans tout l'Engadin par train/bus inclus dans le prix de l'hôtel (à partir de la deuxième nuit). Très bien situé dans la région (accès pratiques de Maloja à Bernina à Zuoz à Filisur).

What a friendy hotel! We felt at home from the beginning. Beautiful and clean room with a view of mountains. Excellent breakfast! Easy access to cross country slopes and to nearby villages.

Tolles Hotel - super Service - sofort wieder =)
Tolles Hotel, ganz in der Nähe des Bahnhofs und des Thermalbads. Wir waren nur eine Nacht dort und wären gerne noch länger geblieben. Sehr gemütlich und trotzdem modern. Die Zimmer haben alles was man braucht und sind modern und gemütlich eingerichtet. Das Personal ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr gross reichhaltig. Alles in allem absolut empfehlenswertes Hotel, welches wir gerne wieder besuchen.

Das Zimmer war sehr schön,gross&neu renoviert.Grosses Bad,hammermässiges Frühstück,nette Bedienung.Ab der 2.Übernachtung kann man kostenlos das nahegelegene Spa benutzen. Das Restaurant ist eher teuer,aber das Geld definitiv wert. Das einzige negative (wenn überhaupt :0))war,dass das Zimmer auf der Seite der Bar war,wo es am späten Abend manchmal relativ laut wurde wenn die Barbesucher draussen waren um zu rauchen etc.

Erholsame Tage in Samedan
Das Ehepar Donatz und alle Mitarbeiter sind sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Das Hotel und alle Räumlichkeiten sind gepflegt, sauber und gut ausgestattet. Beim Einchecken wurden wir kompetent über Gästekarte, Wlan, SPA-Aufenthalt etc. orientiert. Wir haben die Gratiskarte geschätzt für alle Bergbahnen, Postautos und Engadinbus. Wir haben das 1. Klasse Monatsbüga und konnten daher unser Auto in der Hotelgarage lassen. Lage des Hotels in Nähe des Bahnhofs für unsere Zugreisen gewählt.
