Best for families and beachesPosted Aug 27, 2015
Pros: Cleanliness, location and staff.
Cons: Perhaps a little updating of the rooms.
Location: Beaches, Busch Gardens, Clearwater Beach, Disney 1/12 hour away. Fort De Soto Park Absolutely the BEST location. Best pool...jet ski.
You cant beat the friendliness, cleanliness and location of this beautiful property. Beach across the street, near major Florida attractions, great on-site pool for the kids and the friendliness staff you will find anywhere. My family and I HIGHLY recommend this hotel for your next Florida vacation.

Super friendly and helpful staff!Posted Aug 21, 2015
Great hotel, wonderful value for a family of 4 staying in 1 room. Rooms could possibly do with some renewal of furniture (bit dated in style, however all in good condition) and caulking of bathrooms. As constructive feedback; saw wood rot on almost all exterior room door frames, but did not affect quality of our stay, just a bit less convincing that management cares. All staff throughout super friendly, always greeting when passing by, ready to assist. Great service rules in this hotel!

Wonderful hotel across the street from the beach.Posted Aug 13, 2015
The hotel however is on the water. (The inlet). Personalized golf cart service was so convenient and easy to get back-and-forth to the beach. They even give you towels and all beach toys so you don't have to bring anything! Breakfast buffet is so cheap and delicious. Kids were only five bucks! Plus they had a guy making animals out of balloons every morning at breakfast. Line of shops next to the hotel where the classiest shops near the beach I have ever been to. Columbia hotel next-door was fabulous. Every staff was so cheerful, polite, helpful and respectful. Made you feel downright special.

Old hotel, stains in bathroom. Needs renovations.Posted Aug 6, 2015
The hotel overall looks nice but it's very old. Staff very nice. Very good breakfast and service, waitress very nice. Close to Pier 60, great seafood restaurants around. We went to Ceasars , an Italian restaurant and the food was great!

Nice hotel. Close to restaurants, beach, & shops.Posted Aug 1, 2015
We really enjoyed our stay. There's a shopping plaza next door with several very good restuarants and shops. It's a short walk to the beach. The hotel was clean and staff were great.

Good Hotel - Great StaffPosted Jul 29, 2015
Pros: The staff were outstanding, always ready to help.
Cons: It is time to renovate and update. Newer, more comfortable beds are a must.
Location: Clearwater Beach is a trolley ride away. Sand Key beach is nice, quiet, the hotel will shuttle you there in about 3 minutes.
The hotel itself is aging and in need of renovation. The rooms feel quite tired, the beds are average, the rooms are big enough for 5 people to stay, but feel small compared to newer suite hotels being built in 2010+. With us, two teen kids, and one younger one really filled the space along with my wife and I, it felt small. The room would work well for people with young kids, who want to put them to sleep and then sit and watch tv in the second room. The washroom is small. The staff are great, very friendly, always ready to help. The room was also very clean. The location is quiet, away from the main strip, too far to walk over the bridge for us, so we used the local trolley, and later rented a car (which can get expensive with parking in Clearwater beach, but we had some other trips planned). The rooms all face the bay and we saw dolphins, sharks, pelicans, etc., almost daily - the kids loved this part. This is a nice hotel for people who want to visit the 'hustle and bustle' of Clearwater Beach, and then return to a quieter hotel. There is a small strip mall beside the hotel, but our eating experiences there were not great, and the prices were high. However, Clearwater Beach itself is also pricey, but there is a lot of choice. I would recommend this hotel for folks who are looking for a vacation where they can go into town, and then return for some peace and quiet.

Nice place with a few small issuesPosted Jul 26, 2015
Overall nice hotel. Shuttle or short walk to beach, room has nice view of the bay. Rooms on all floors have front door open to outside, not an indoor hallway. Walls between rooms were thin, could easily hear next door. Staff was great, pool was nice. Columbia restaurant right next door with a small boardwalk and strip mall. Rooms were nice, spacious. We had a good time overall.
