We checked into the hotel to find out that many of the amenities were tarped off due to renovation. The pool area is very nice but there was no tiki bar available. Again, it was under renovation. Our room was newly renovated which was nice. However, ongoing renovations were still being done on our floor. There was an ongoing drilling of the concrete walls near the elevator. There were metal shavings on the ground. My kids could not walk barefoot coming back from the pool. The restaurant was equally disappointing. The sea scallops I order while alleged to have been fresh, tasted like ammonia which means they were decomposing. They also forgot a portion of my and my wife's plate. To top it all off there were roaches in our room. We notified the front desk and they comped our meal from the final bill. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

We are very sorry our current modernization impacted your stay with us. Our team has worked very hard to minimize the impact but it is evident that we were not successful with your visit. I will be meeting with the F&B team to address your poor dining experience. We typically receive very positive feedback on our restaurant. Although we did not meet your expectation on this most recent visit, I do hope we have another opportunity to better your experience with us if your travels bring you back to Clearwater Beach.
