nice hotel in quiet section of beach community

Pros: Hotel is a bit removed from the crowded section of Clearwater beach. The bar/lounge is located by the water. Nice views.
Cons: The hotel is getting a bit dated. The room colors including carpeting can be upgraded. The amenities in the suites are not upto par for a 4 star hotel
Location: Location is great. Beach on the gulf is across the road. Accessible to food spots.
Clearwater beach is an appealing beach community. The Marriott Sand Key is in the more quiet section of the beach. It is becoming somewhat dated. Room carpeting and amenities could use some updating.

The hotel canceled my reservation.

I selected the book now pay option on Expedia. The hotel was over booked do they ran my card. They weren't able to charge my card because I was going to use a different card when I get to the hotel. It was a night mare. The put me in another hotel across the street that was horrible. The staff was extremely rude. They ruined our trip.

Rooms are being updated

The rooms were clean and the hotel is updating them. We did not get an updated room so ours was a bit dated. As others said before you need a ride to the beach. Overall our stay was enjoyable but ask for an updated room.

close drive to beach, not 4 star

3 star hotel, not 4 star, needs some clean up and better trained staff, food is unclean with cross contamination, location is fine to drive to beach not walking distance, a paid bus has a stop at the hotel

Great location best of both the bay & the ocean!

Pros: Loved being on the bay & across the street from the beach with complimentary transfers to beach.
Cons: They were doing construction while we were there so the noise was a little annoying in the mornings, but worth it since they are improving the hotel
Location: Location is great with amazing views of both the ocean & the bay. Clearwater Jet Ski & Funboat rentals offered right on property & the boardwalk
We enjoyed our stay. Hotel staff we very nice & helpful, room was clean. Loved staying on the bay with the beach across the street. excellent view. We saw a dolphin from our hotel balcony. The water activities offered by Clearwater Jet Ski & Funboat on the Marriott property where exceptional. Ronnie, Matthew & Ryan made sure we had a great time on the Jet Skis, while tubing & on our sunset dolphin boat tour. I highly recommend them!

All in all it wasn't to bad, checked in and was told that the a/c was out and would be back on shortly.. It was 4am before it came back on.. No free wifi which I thought was odd as much lesser hotels and hotel chains offer free wifi but the views were nice and was close to the beach and shopping... While I'll probably never stay there again I would recommend as a cheaper alternative to the more expensive hotels not as close to the beach!

Fint strandnært hotell

Flott beliggenhet med kort vei til stranden på Sand Key. Ypperlig for barn og roligere strand enn i selve Clearwater. God service på hotellet, håndkler både til basseng og strand. Flott basseng.

They were doing a lot of renovating! I would not have stayed there if I would have known that was taking place! Renovating pool area and some type of crew was outside my window working for a couple days. Wasn't the best for s family vscation
