Fell a little short

Hotel was undergoing some cosmetic updating while we were there, but it did not disrupt us at all. The staff was great--friendly, helpful and professional. The room was terrific--clean, fairly quiet and lots of space, included a mini-fridge, microwave, iron board/iron, and a flat screen TV ready for computer/tablet hook up. Elevator was missing a certificate--and made loud noises when starting up--very disconcerting. Hotel felt very safe and secure--luckily no rowdy parties or guests while we were there.
Location is off a very busy main road--if you drove in from the south, you had to make a u-turn in order to access the driveway; coming in from the north was no problem. I think this may be a St Petersburg thing since they had a lot of medians dividing the roadways and a lot of u-turn lanes. It was just a little time consuming since the road is very busy.
We did not enjoy the included breakfast--but that's a personal thing. There are dry cereals, yogurts, watery oatmeal, make your own waffles and juices/milk/coffee--this was the everyday standard. There were also some revolving "hot" options: Day 1 was chicken patties, biscuits and cream gravy; Day 2 was fried egg "rounds" (breakfast sandwich-shaped), sausage patties, and potatoes; Day 3 was scrambled eggs, tortillas, and diced ham. So there was plenty to fill you up before your day--just nothing really appealing for us. Luckily there are lots of outside choices in the area.
All in all, not bad.
