"Vintage comfort"
It was hard for me to leave this place. I was told that this place was built in 1925 and everything was kept as original as possible. The lobby is well decorated with an aroma that may take some getting used to but is pleasing. Everyone is nice inside and outside the hotel. I stayed in the penthouse which seemed a bit underfurnished. I don't like clutter at all but it still seemed to be missing something. I had a great view of the bay from a nice sized balcony. The traffic was at a minimum, which is a huge plus for me being from a major southern city. The homeless element was at a minimum as well compared to many resorts that I've been to.

"Great place!!!"
The most comfortable bed I've ever slept in at a hotel. The chef was great, he made me an omelette one morning that was delicious. I loved how quiet and comfortable the whole place was. I'll definitely be back! I don't mind that there wasn't a tv in the room... you're at the beach, who needs a tv! I can say enough great things about this place.

"Quaint, cozy, accomodating and great location! "
I really enjoyed my stay at the Mansion Inn. If you're just looking for a quick getaway for a night or two, this is an outstanding place. It's in walking distance of everything you might possibly want; bars, restaurants, museum, water, parks, etc. And the hotel manager (Sabrina) is so sweet and accomodating. The rooms were clean, beautifully decorated and (most importantly to me) comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family and feel confident that they would share my enthusiasm and be grateful for the recommendation. We will definitely return in the future for hotel accommodations.

"Relatively Quiet Corner of St. Pete."
Whenever I have business in St. Petersburg I have to deal with the problem of finding a good quality hotel. Unfortunately, the downtown Hilton and Hampton Inns are usually fully booked. This time I tried the Courtyard by Marriott. The hotel is nestled in the northwest corner of downtown St. Petersburg, just outside the downtown entertainment area. The hotel is well placed for access to the developing neighborhood of boutiques and restaurants just west of downtown. I enjoyed sampling the many restaurants. The Palladium Theatre is nearby. This was the old Pennsylvania Hotel until Marriott took it over and expanded it into a newer building. The higher numbered rooms are in the new building. One problem I’ve had with other hotels in St. Pete, especially the boutique hotels, are the small rooms and teeny tiny bathrooms. At the Courtyard, I ordered a room with a sofa that is often called a junior suite. My room was really just a standard sized room with an added sofa designed to fit into a corner. Nevertheless it was clean and comfortable but for well over $200 a night I’d like a little more, think bigger. Staff was very friendly and helpful, plus I had the nicest housekeeper, Alicia. You had to pay for valet parking at $15 per every night when nearby public parking was only $5 per night. They also have a sandwich shop which serves liquor and a small pool and whirlpool plus some exercise equipment. I’d use it again on another visit.
