Overpriced and disgusting!!!!! Old hotel!!!

This hotel need renovating or gutted out. The room set up is okay, but it was hot and humid. And with a high humidity I am almost positive there is mold growing somewhere. Our room had roaches and bugs in the bathroom (dead and alive).. Once we attempted to kill them they scattered to under the toilet.. It felt so nasty, I was afraid to pull the covers back to see if there were bed bugs.
The staff was very friendly and understanding. The restaurant staff was great as well.
The pool is nice and has a great scenery, the room just did it for us, and I'm not the picky type. So once we complained about our room, they changed us to a different room. Once we got in that room there were more bugs and gnats flying over my head. By that time we were over it!!
So they front desk cancelled our rooms but caused another hold on our account. The next day was Sunday so if it weren't for my friend to miraculously have another usable card to another hotel.. We would be stuck without money because of the hold that could not be taken off immediately.
Anyways, we got to a much better hotel (Marriott Sand Key) and it was cheaper, bigger, and MUCH cleaner and nicer!! AND we had views of the ocean. However, once we called back to Holiday Inn, the manager made a call to my bank and got my funds released immediately.
The staff at this hotel was awesome, the hotel itself was just disgusting and too pricey and I would not recommended it at all.
