This hotel had a great location close to shops, etPosted Aug 22, 2015
We have never stayed anywhere that the staff was so friendly and nice. They did everything with a happy attitude - from the food service , pool people, concierge , front desk, bartenders, maintance people and Valet parking. Everyone was so nice. Rooms were roomy and clean. Our stay was perfect. We will be going back!

Needs improvement, attention to details.Posted Aug 21, 2015
Cons: see above
Overall ok hotel with close beach and downtown access. Room was lacking, not enough attention to details. Overall condition has gone down since last time I stayed here 2 years ago. Room did not have adequate towels, not enough pillows and the pull out bed was very uncomfortable for kids. No forks in the kitchen, sliding door was totally off the track. Cosmetics of room needed attention. The carpeting was soiled/stained in need of serious cleaning. I'm at a solid 3 for this hotel.

Second stay at Hyatt Clearwater and will be back!Posted Aug 18, 2015
Pros: The staff and rooms are amazing!! The pool/ and pool bar/resturant is great! good food and drinks brought right to your lounge chair.
Location: The location is great. You are right on the beach. Cross the street and you are there. Lots of restaurants are in walking distance and the pier 60
This is my families second stay at the hotel and we love it. Its so close to the beach, has a large pool and the rooms are amazing! The beach is beautiful! Powder white sand, and lots of sea shells for my kids to pick up. The pool at the hotel is great, along with the food/drink service provided there. The hotel room is amazing! We were in a one bedroom suite with a huge terrace! The kitchen is a nice feature so you can cook some of your meals. The target is a 15 minute drive, but after our trip I realized there is a Whole Foods 20 min away. I'm going there next time for sure! Check out the good restaurants in walking distance to the hotel and the pier las a nice park for the kids and some entertainment at night.

Nice hotel. Good vacation destination.Posted Aug 18, 2015
It's nice over all. Convenient location and clean over all. I booked through Expedia. My booking said that there will be $20 resort fee a day. Pool towels and other amenities were included in the resort fee. I reviwed my bill a day before checkout. It had a higher resort fee and separate pool towels charges. But the staff was friendly and they adjusted the fees right away. Just watch for your charges. I also used the concierge. Very helpful. Great vacation destination. Will visit again.

Pros: The dinner in the main dining room was good and the staff is friendly. Valet was quick & friendly.
Cons: Hotel needs a makeover, more true concierge services,a real bar, club level,a place for kids, more food options,a higher level of service needed.
Location: The hotel is surrounded by very old motels. The Sandpearl Resort is close to everything & the place to stay. We are from Dallas,TX and use to better.
The hotel was disappointing. The Sandpearl Resort would have been a much better choice.Beware: our "Gulf view" room was really a parking garage view room,it was shocking! The photos are OLD. There is a tall parking garage on one side & a hotel being constructed on the other side. It is not spacious and on the beach like the photos perceive it to be. You must walk across a busy street to get to the beach (the beach area is not as large as the photos make it). When returning from the beach, you must go up one elevator,THEN walk through the hotel wet in front of dressed guests just checking in or heading to the dining room, to the other side of the hotel to find the elevators to the rooms. No club level,no true concierge services (a guy with brochures to hand out only),no area for the kids to play games (no pool table, air hockey, big screen tv,no video games for rainy days). The bar area is a joke! It's basically the lobby where kids and people stand around waiting. No alcohol is allowed on the beach. There is no food or drink service on the beach. The pool is tiny. There is not a lot offered at this hotel. The breakfast buffet is barely refilled, little amounts at a time, while guests stand there frustrated. Business service area, the computers time out after 10 minutes which makes getting anything accomplished very difficult.Watching a movie in the room, the tv volume would not work and no snacks offered from room service. The list goes on.Limited services and not like photos or description

Disappointing stay...Posted Aug 2, 2015
Pros: Food was always good. Housekeeping was friendly. Room layout was nice.
Cons: Hotel should provide beach chairs to use or rent - not just vendor.
Location: We were not able to do much because of weather.
We were disappointed with the hotel for our one week stay. There is construction everywhere. Our first room (2 bed suite facing north) overlooked it and it was noisy from 7:00 until 7:00 pm. We changed rooms after 2 nights and ended up right above pool area. The awning made constant noise from the wind. kept me up for 2 nights. This is not a resort. Cabana/ 2 chair rental is $30. If it rains in the morning they don't rent. So if it is clear by afternoon, there is NOWHERE to rent chairs. Food and drinks are not provided on beach. pool area is small. We will not stay again.
