Not too good

This hotel is in a bad part of town with lots of savory characters walking around. The rooms need painting. I have been to worse hotels but not sure I want to go back to this one. Really bad for a LaQuinta.

a very nice stay for the money

Pros: everything, except google maps sent us through an iffy area to get to the hotel, so had concerns until we arrived. Pleasantly surprised.
Cons: Did need plumbling worked on in one of the rooms we occupied and the maintenance man pushed it off as a lack of strength to turn off the drip.
Location: Very conveniently located to all amenities. Visited family in Gulf Port and photographed wildlife farther south. Enjoyed our stay
Very friendly staff. Nice clean and cheery rooms. Was pleasantly surprised.

Pros: Quiet. Great TV. Clean. Good beds.
Cons: Need another blanket.
Location: I attend events regularly at the Gulfport Casino and Pinellas Park Auditorium. This is about half way between both of them.
Very clean and quiet. It's so much nicer than the La Quinta up the road in Pinellas Park. I'll never stay at that one again!

Unfriendly and unwelcoming front desk, roaches

Front desk was not welcoming and yet rude. We found 2 roaches there in a matter of one evening of stay. Looks good from the outside but needs renovation and improvement.

Pros: The friendliness of the staff
Cons: The breakfast bar. The waffle maker needs more often cleaning. Maybe more healthy choices.
The staff is very friendly, the room was clean and so was the pool.

We stay here every time we visit. No complaints except to the owners to upgrade their reservation servers. We had to wait 20 minutes to get checked in because the servers were going too slow.

Die Tier-Freundlichkeit ist regelrecht riechbar

Wir waren in den letzten zwei Jahre dreimal hier, wobei es immer mehr bergab ging. Vor zwei Jahren war echt noch alles in Ordnung. Es waren zwar auch Hunde da, aber die konnte man an einer Hand abzählen. Dieses Mal schien jeder Amerikaner mindestens einen Köter dabei gehabt zu haben. Das Zimmer musste dieses Mal jedenfalls aufgrund von Hunde-Gestank erst gewechselt werden. Ich rede von Gestank, weil im Raum war es wirklich nicht auszuhalten. Die Rezeptionistin wollte/ konnte das nicht riechen, weil sie angeblich eine verstopfte Nase hatte. Sie teilte uns aber ohne Weiteres ein anderes Zimmer zu, das dann okay war. Weitere Kritikpunkte: Beim Frühstück gab es drei Tage keine Butter, stattdessen fast flüssige Margarine aus der Tube und vom umzäunten und abschließbaren Pool wird man nun kurz nach 22 Uhr verjagt. Wir waren nicht die Einzigen, die das Zimmer wechselten. Dieses Hotel hat seine besten Zeiten jedenfalls erstmal hinter sich und die Liste der Bemängelungen wird immer länger. Wir sind gewiss nicht anspruchsvoll und bereisen Florida nun seit 1997 mindestens einmal jährlich, aber diese riechbare Tierfreundlichkeit ging uns nun wirklich zu weit!!!

It's Okay

It was a little hard to find a place to park, but I did like the fact that they had security cameras, good lighting, and a patrolling guard. The Continental breakfast was pretty disappointing. Th facilities were old, but serviceable. The pool area was gorgeous, but I never had time for a swim. The hotel is a little off the beaten track, and a little hard to find. My biggest complaint was that I left a pair of my shoes in the room, and the hotel staff disavows any knowledge of them. They will be expensive to replace, so I am not happy.

Mixed feelings.....

The hotel isn't in the best neighborhood and there were a lot of people loitering outside when we got there. But the hotel staff was very nice and it was surprisingly quiet. However, the bathroom was not really clean and we ended up with bed bugs :( I know it can happen even in the nicest of hotels but it still isn't pleasant. The courtyard and pool area are very nice and very well maintained though. I have stayed there in the past and didn't have any issues. We put a call in to the hotel manager about the bed bugs to warn others who may have that room but still no call back.
