Nice Break from Mega-Hotels-Great Location & Staff
Posted Oct 21, 2016 on Hotels
Stayed here for business, 2 rooms, checked in late Tuesday night and out Friday morning. A few things to understand about this property:
1 It is a FORMER bed & breakfast. It clearly says there is no breakfast served in the listing. That seems to confuse people, but it really shouldn't.
2 This is a quaint property - a mega-sized luxury hotel it ain't. It was a fun change from where I normally stay. The conference hotel down the street was booked up, and in the end I'm glad it was. This was a refreshing change. Plus, it was 1/3 the cost of the discounted rate at the conference hotel 1 block away.
The property consists of 2 houses sitting side-by-side. One house has 7 rooms and the other has 5 rooms. Both of our rooms had a bathroom in the room, but I noted that at least one of the other rooms required that you use a shared bathroom in the hall. Since there are only 5 rooms in this house, no more than 3 rooms shared that bathroom (at most). I think it is actually only 2 rooms that share it. The property has a small pool and hot tub. I took a dip in the pool. It had some leaves in it that I scooped out with the pool's net - but the pool is surrounded by beautiful trees, so this is unavoidable. I didn't mind at all. Sabrina, the property's live-in manager, called me the afternoon of arrival to touch base and to see when we'd arrive. She was up and waiting for us at 11 pm, helped us get parked in a good spot and was extremely helpful and friendly the entire stay
