Great Hotel in a Great Location!Posted Nov 23, 2015
Pros: Great location, great price friendly staff!
Cons: The only thing that would be better if it was free, but the prices are reasonable for the location.
Location: Tons-o-stuff to do! From live entertainment to great food, museums and much more are all within walking distance of the Ponce.
This is the second time my wife and I spent a long weekend in St. Petersburg at the Ponce De Leon Hotel. Once again the hotel and the staff were fantastic. My wife and I love the location which is within walking distance of great food and entertainment throughout the downtown St. Petersburg area. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. From the lobby staff to the great people who keep your room clean all were incredibly friendly and attentive. I would recommend this hotel to St. Petersburg. We will be booking our next stay soon!

DisappointedPosted Nov 17, 2015
I don't mind quaint but . . . the bathrooms were from the 1950's. The elevator was a challenge to get on and off on the correct floor. It seemed to have a mind of its own. They only had one luggage cart for guests to share. Figuring out where and how to park was another problem. Hotel staff and the garage made it very confusing and gave different answers when asked. I would not recommend this hotel and I will not stay here again. When I walked into the room I was very disappointed however I must say the beds were comfortable and the room was clean. Great location to the event we were attending at Vinoy Park

Can't beat the price, cute and quirkyPosted Nov 15, 2015
Aside from small bathroom no complaint. A cute, vintage little gem for the price.

Nice Hotel close to DowntownPosted Nov 13, 2015
Pros: Its position downtown St Petersburg
Location: Easy walking around Downtown and close to restaurants
Slept well on a comfortable bed with good quality sheets and good pillows. Room recently upgraded. Pleasant views from windows including the local harbour. Would stay again on our next visit to St Pete. Great staff.

1st impression upon opening the door was incorrectPosted Nov 9, 2015
Pros: It's proximity to all of the places we wanted to go was made it convenient. Polite staff greeted us on our arrival and each time we came and went.
Cons: Maybe put a small shelf in the bathroom so guests don't have to go in and out of the bathroom for toiletries. Clean the mildew in the drawers!
Location: The location was the reason we chose this hotel. Great restaurants and lots of activity around.
The 1st thing we saw when we entered our room was a well made bed with decorative pillows. The room was a little musty, so we adjusted the thermostat thinking that would help. The next morning, we realized the musty odor was just there; it is an old hotel, but we opened the desk drawer to find the bibles within it were mildewed. That is probably what we were smelling. I thought the shower looked dirty, but again, it is an old hotel. You expect some wear and tear but not a dirt mark from someone's foot or more likely someone's shoe. I wore my shoes in the shower, and noticed the dirt mark washed away. I was hoping it was just from the shoe of the person who cleaned the room. Then I discovered the soap wrapper from the previous guest was still in the soap tray so I had to question whether or not the shower was cleaned prior to us arriving. The bathroom sink was really slow to drain - you had to wait several minutes between each of us brushing our teeth or washing hands. Again, had this been cleaned prior to our arrival, this was so obvious it would have been noticed. There is no vanity in the bathroom so there was no room to keep anything in there. The bed was very comfortable but sounded like the wood frame was going to break each time either of us rolled over. I was loud enough that we woke up and woke each other whenever we moved, which was really too bad since the bed was the most comfortable part of the stay.

Great locationPosted Oct 20, 2015
Pros: Location, location, location.
Cons: The interior was updated but furniture could be more comfortable (beds were too firm).
Location: Really close to the downtown bars as well as the waterfront area restaurants.
This hotel has a great location for a "fairly" cheap price compared to other hotels in the area. The beds were not very comfortable but worked well enough for our stay.

Perfect location!!Posted Oct 20, 2015
We stayed here for a concert at Jannus Live. Beautiful hotel. Kind of wish it had a on sight pool/spa and maybe a bath tub in the room. But will definitely use this hotel everytime we see a show in Jannus. Parking was close. Great food near by.
