Close to restaurants

They're in the process of remodeling but everything else was perfect. It's a beautiful old building with a very lovely garden and heated pool.

I really like the tropical plants and trees and gardens and fountain. Spent the morning in the pretty pool. I liked the cathedral ceiling and the cream colored walls. I would repaint the back wall. Shiny burgundy is not nice. Do it in a flat paint. Bathroom was nice.

Hotel needs renovation

Pros: Staff
Cons: Non smoking rooms need to have carpets and drapes replaced.
Location: Convenient location of Dennys - right in the same block.
Staff was wonderful. Friendly and eager to please. Rooms smell badly of smoke. We were offered an ionizer and air freshener, which helped a bit. Many of the other guests were partying, and the clientele made me nervous. There was a crack pipe in the stairwell that someone had made a very feeble attempt to hide.

smelled of smoke - badly

Definitely requested a non-smoking room and it stunk of cigarette smoke badly.....

Avoid this hotel

Location: Denny's
Unfortunately, our stay at the Red Roof Inn was extremely disappointing. I guess we should have known when we saw the 'extreme makeover' sign on the door. The room smelled of either paint or old cigarette smoke; there was a hard solid goo stuck on the bathroom floor; and the worst was one towel was dirty and another day we had a dead bug stuck in a towel.

very rude

Cons: be more informed
i wasn't informed that they wouldn't except cash, or a pre paid card so i ended up staying somewhere else and the clerk was very rude about it

Scary night

This was a horribly managed hotel. I was traveling with teenage daughter and we would woken in the middle of the night with loud pounding on the door a strange man used a key and opened my door!! I yelled and he shut the door. The front desk called to ask my name as if I was in this room without reservations. All he said was he would take care of it. No security in this place. Bring protection if you stay here.

Pros: The landscaping. I would not stay again....not enough amenities.
Cons: No amenities in room and the room had the most disgusting odor.
Location: Was nice having a Denny's Restaurant in front.

The rooms aren't cleaned adequately. The first room we were sent to still had the dirty towels from the previous guest hanging in the bathroom and the windows were filthy. The second room we ended up staying in had clean windows but it certainly didn't feel clean. The hotel is in an area where the main attraction is a Denny's within walking distance.
