Do not stay here. BUGS...

So let me start off with the few positives, the staff were nice and pleasant and I liked the location. Okay now for the rest, when I first walked into the room the floor in the bathroom was sticky. No big deal, I cleaned it up so my feet wouldn't be sticky. However at night bugs come out of the woodwork, I'm not kidding when on more than one occasion I'm getting bugs off of me. I grabbed my water and a felt something crawl onto me. I've also woken up to the feeling of something moving on me and it was bugs. By the end of my trip I had killed more than half a dozen (the rest got away). One of them also bit me and now my leg is super itchy. This should not have 3 stars or cost $115 a night, all I want in a room is a hot shower and a comfortable bed, oh and the water in the shower doesn't get all that hot. If you ever heard the phrase, "sleep tight and don't let the bed bugs bite", these ones do...

It was an average motel, nothing really notable. the Denny's next door had horrible service (not the motel's fault)

Pros: Location
Cons: Enclosed the mattresses in bedbug free covers
Location: Denny's is located within walking distance.
The motel is being updated. Hopefully its will be a much nicer place. The staff was helpful and friendly.

Convenient Hotel

Cons: In my review above.
A small refrigerator in the room would have been a nice bonus. The room was reasonably clean, the bed was comfortable, however, we could have used one more pillow. The fan in the bathroom seemed annoying and ineffectual.

Convenient to I-275 and St. Petersburg.

Pros: Location
Cons: Cleanliness. Spruce up the lobby. Have some newpapers and decent coffee available in the morning (Not tasteless colored water).
I just needed a room for a quick overnight stay before flying out of Tampa. The facilities are kind of beaten down. The lobby area in particular was uninviting and there are really no amenities to speak of. The bathroom was not very clean in the room and there was already garbage in the waste can.

Close to restaurants

They're in the process of remodeling but everything else was perfect. It's a beautiful old building with a very lovely garden and heated pool.

Lovely.

I really like the tropical plants and trees and gardens and fountain. Spent the morning in the pretty pool. I liked the cathedral ceiling and the cream colored walls. I would repaint the back wall. Shiny burgundy is not nice. Do it in a flat paint. Bathroom was nice.

Hotel needs renovation

Pros: Staff
Cons: Non smoking rooms need to have carpets and drapes replaced.
Location: Convenient location of Dennys - right in the same block.
Staff was wonderful. Friendly and eager to please. Rooms smell badly of smoke. We were offered an ionizer and air freshener, which helped a bit. Many of the other guests were partying, and the clientele made me nervous. There was a crack pipe in the stairwell that someone had made a very feeble attempt to hide.

smelled of smoke - badly

Definitely requested a non-smoking room and it stunk of cigarette smoke badly.....
