Relaxing resort in a quite town on the harbor.

Pros: The staff at this resort were a great team.
I arrived at the resort several hours early and the front desk was very quick to check me in and move me to a room with a bay veiw. The room was clean and comfortable. I found the staff to be friendly, helpful and some were even entertaining.

Nightmare on the Harbor!

Cons: Staff and Customer Service. The 3rd party management company of this hotel needs to go!
May be it's just summer and the fact that the hotel is relatively slow but first we were checked into the room on the first floor which was infested with ants, which came out at night above the inside of the door leading to an outdoor patio. The night staff was called in to take pictures and he moved us to the room on the fourth floor, where according to my Dr and pharmacist we were bitten by what looks like the BED BUGS. This was immediately reported to the housekeeping manager and Assistant General Manager. We stayed at this place before and had no issues until this terrible experience. In addition, we were promised that the daily Resort fees were to be waived to the Florida residents but then the resort changed its story and we were told because we booked through Expedia the resort fees were to stay. Finally, the fees were waived due to our terrifying experience but not because of the hotel promised summer promotions. The pool has a very rough bottom. I hit my foot and had several scratches. Finally, the new Tiki bar staff was very disappointing. It was hard to get their attention even thought the hotel pool was relatively slow. The bill arrived without any order details. The new bar design is blocking the HD TVs and we are not sure if it was meant by design. OVERALL VERY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE. PS. We spoke to general manager 2 weeks after this matter but were shocked to learn they still have not processed the rooms and called in specialists. They haven't responded

Although it was a short stay at this time, I had a great time at the hotel. I would like to choose this hotel again in the next trip.

Cons: Everything listed in the above paragraph!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Location: nothing to see or do not any good restaurant's, three very small taverns, no sightseeing.
We ate dinner, my wife's chicken was as hard as a rock couldn't cut through it. Ceiling tiles were all discolored from water. Room was nosey & water stains on the wall from air conditioning. We were charged an extra $17.92 for amenities that we did not use. We ate dinner, breakfast, & utilized both bars. It was not like we weren't spending any money there. We feel the charge of $17.92 was unfair. If we wanted to use the sauna we couldn't have because they didn't supply bath robes like most resorts do. We checked in at 4:00 pm & checked out at 10:00 am. the room charge with tax was $132.48 Plus $17.92 =$150.40. We could have stayed @ less expensive hotel for what we needed it which we would have if we known. I feel we should have been warned by Expedia that there would have been extra charge. There was absolutely nothing at all to see or do in the town of Safety Harbor. We also feel that Expedia should reimbursed us for the $17.92.

Great place. The tiki bar and pool looked cool although the weather wasnt ideal. The staff helped us find things to do in the area since it was raining. I also was easily assisted when I wanted to upgrade the room.

Relaxing by the bay

We decided to find a hotel at the last minute while on our way to my dad's house in Bradenton. We took a chance on the safety harbor resort and I am glad we did.The staff was great and so was the hotel. Rooms are spacious and clean .The facilitiy is very peaceful and spacoous.we plan to stay here again .
