      4/5 Good

The customer service was excellent - the front desk staff were friendly and very helpful. It was a bit inconvenient that there is limited parking directly in front of the motel, but there was additional parking offered across the street under retro carports. I loved the retro feel of the property. I think its retro vibes add to the charm of the experience. Some exterior maintenance is needed, as far as paint and whatnot, but it wasn’t so unappealing that we felt obliged to find somewhere else to stay. The room was a little outdated, but it appears some kind of upgrade was done, as there were hardwood floors instead of carpet in our room. The room was in retro theme, so it matched the property pretty well. I loved the giant portrait of the original motel that hung in our room. The only real complaint that we had was about the cleanliness of the actual room. It seems the housekeeper missed cleaning under beds and furniture, as well as a dirty towel that was hanging on the back of the bathroom door. These were minor inconveniences, but nothing major to ruin the stay (like I said, we only needed the room one night so it was not the biggest deal ever). At least we had fresh and clean towels hanging in the bathroom, and the bed linens were clean, as well. It feels ridiculous to have to say this in 2019, but to my fellow LGBT travelers: they seem to be very open and welcoming, which is very valuable these days.
