Pros: Close to the beach and easy to get in and out of. Liked the patio area to sit and take it easy in the evening.
Cons: na
Location: na
The rooms were okay. The bed was really close to the bathroom. The room smelled like they had just sprayed for bugs. Was looking forward to swimming one day and they closed the pool down to put a lift in. It would have been alright but they didn't post that it was closed and the workman was kinda of rude when telling me the pool was closed. Otherwise than that it wasn't all that bad of a place to stay.

Very outdated

Well.....no staff after 5 ..had three drunken people next door that was beyond loud and had music as high as it could go. Several people asked them to tone it all down. Security from other hotel that owns tahitian came finally and told them t O calm down but no results and he just left. The drunks left and came back more drunk and louder than before. Then myself and my wife were attacked and hurt before police came and only took the woman to jail only because she would not obey them .. so. We will never go to that hotel or treasure island again either. It's low rent anything goes place.

Beach front without the frills

Posted Jun 20, 2015
Pros: On beachfront, apartment style room, clean but small pool (3-8ft), 3 types of kitchen options, affordable, within walking distance of restaurants
Cons: Limited parking, only 4 place settings in kitchen, needs extra shelving in kitchen
Location: For the family, the Tampa Zoo, the Florida Aquarium, Ft. DeSoto Park, beach activities such as parasailing, jet skis, fishing (deep sea, coastal)
The hotel is a 1950s style beach front efficiency motel--clean, modest, and dated. We enjoyed our courtyard 1-bedroom apartment with 3 girls under age 7 and two adults. The pool was crowded usually and in the middle of the poolside rooms. The hotel is ON the beach, but it is still a 5 minute walk to the shoreline. The waves were a bit rougher than I expected from a Gulf side beach. Restaurants were close but we brought food for the 5 of us and were able to eat all of our meals out of the kitchen (full frig, microwave, 4 place settings of mismatched stoneware, 2 pots w/lids, colander, baking sheet, toaster, can opener, 2 ice trays). The table only has 4 chairs, but we were able to use the footrest bench from the couch. Living room furniture is vinyl, a good option for wet, sandy beach bottoms. It's not an upscale hotel with lots of amenities, but it met our family's needs in price, comfort, and access to the beach.

Close to beach

The back of the bathroom door had not been cleaned properly and I won't describe what I had to personally clean of it myself before letting my children use it. The carpets were so dirty they turned our feet black walking on them so we had to wear shoes. I could go on but I guess you get what you pay for booking last minute.

A step back into time

The sheets could have used some fabric softner and the bed could have been a little more comfortable, but over all a pretty neat place to stay for the money!

Security concerns

Posted Jun 13, 2015
Need security at night to get the drunk rednecks under control and off to bed at 10 so they don't keep the rest of us up all night.

Overall fair

Close to beach. Too much noise, very old facility with no screens or locks on the windows. Tiny room. Bathroom not updated, pink tile on walls. Very small parking lot, some folks had to park across the street. Pool had way too much bleach, could smell it on our skin. Way too overpriced fir the immenities.

Relaxing Vacation!

Posted Jun 7, 2015
Excellent time staying here! We stayed Mon-Fri so it was very quiet and peaceful! Weekends get full and crazy we saw as we were leaving Sat morning. Therefore it depends if you want quiet or packed out! Either way a great place to visit!
